I wonder if Type 81 magazines could be made to work with the 7.62x39 MM's default lower? I know it uses a custom CZ magazine, not an AK one.
Some of the reviews mentioned the 7.62x39 mm custom Bren 2 mags are harder to come by. If the Bren 2 7.62 mags are commonly available, then having Type 81 mags available is not an advantage.
Having STANAG XCR pistol magazines may or may not be factor in the future. We will see. You about be able to use five round magazines regardless.
If there is a AK mag lower or well adapter for the Bren 2 exists, it would be interesting to see if a Canadian company could make a Type 81 lower or adapter that uses the bolt hold open ability of the Type 81 magazine.
Bullseye North has the Bren priced at 3149.10 for the 16” and 3199 for the 8” 556 https://www.bullseyenorth.com/all-pr...eyword/cz-bren
No bayo lug shown on the ad pics, what the heck?
Only 14" version has
Furthermore, only IRG offers the 5.56mm "pistol" with the 14" Barrel and Bayonet Lug.

Also IRG doesn't allow Canadians to buy from their US site anymore...so no they don't.
Bullseye has the 16.5” up for 3499.00 now
I got to handle one today and it is a sweet rifle. Everything seems quality. This model was in 16.5 inch barrel and it seems just right to me - just slightly front heavy which is fine. Aesthetically the rifle looks well balanced and proportioned with the 16.5 inch barrel.
I'm thinking perhaps that the 18.5 incher would be a little too front heavy and look a little too long.
Is it as front heavy as the 18.5 ACR?
Want in SPR configuration
Is there any expected benefit of the 18.6" barrel over the 16"? One would think it would tighten up the groups a 'little' bit and stretch it out a little bit more range wise. Thoughts anyone?
