I bought mine before there was any indication that Nikon was dropping scopes as part of their business. Unless they have some weasle words in their warranty, I think if they don't intend to honor it, they should provide a cash voucher to anyone who sends in a defective scope. It's their problem, they created it by offering the warranty, then deciding to drope scopes from their lineup.
SUBJECT TO APPLICABLE LAW TO THE CONTRARY, NIKON HEREBY DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL LIABILITY FOR DIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, INDIRECT, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH ANY BREACH OF THIS WARRANTY OR ANY OTHER CLAIM WITH RESPECT TO THIS RIFLESCOPE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, CLAIMS OF NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY IN TORT OR BREACH OF CONTRACT.
Sent my Nikon Monarch 8-32x42 in for repair no longer repairing scopes offered me a deal on binocular for the same price as i could buy them on sale.
All scope owners need to email nikon this was a no question life time warranty fix or replace. OR not Wayne Buckland, 226-668-2155
After seeing the poor customer service that Nikon gave their scope customers I will avoid any product with the "Nikon" name.![]()
