Good afternoon,

help me decide. Pro s and cons, etcetera.

I currently have 3 Remington 870-P. All with 18.5" barrels. One in wood with rifle sights, one with LEO folding stock and one with butt and pistol grip.

Thinking of liquidating the pistol grip 870 and purchasing a semi auto. I've sort of narrowed it down. Here is the choice ...

leaning towards a Benelli M2, simple and robust. I think it could be had with the 870 as trade and cash obviously for the balance.

2nd choice, sell the 870 save a bit more and buy a Benelli M4

3rd choice trade/cash for 2 Cunuck Elite, one for shooting other for parts

or just keep the 870. But no real reason I need 3 870's.

Thank you, looking forward to some interesting and informative guidance.

B1301T far better than your M4, try put a folding stock on the B or a hydraulic buffer tube. What was that?.:p

1301 is a good option but M4 is the most proven design, there is a nice H2O model on the EE right now too (shameless plug haha)

Keep the 870s, and just start playing Lego with them. Long ones, short ones, riot guns, entry guns, witpros, breachers. The fun never ends.

But if you feel the need to get a semi, 1301 gets my ticket. That or you get an 1187P for the cool factor, and live with the issues. But again, cool factor.

What is wrong with the 870?

Requires more training to be as proficient :yingyang:
- Jams on a pump are usually the result of a user error
- Jams on a semi are usually an issue with the firearm (or ammo)

Personally, I like pumps.
- Faulty ammo? It just goes "click"... just pump another round in and you're good to go.
- I cannot think of a situation in home-defense where I'd need to fire 8 shots in under 2 seconds (assuming multiple assailants, it would probably take me longer to count/identify them)
