Well it got "delayed" as of today anyhow till spring of next year so its as good as gone now. Cancelling mine today

Some learned their lessons with pre-orders many moons ago, abeit it wasn't always about gov't bans, more to do with pricing, timelines and or just straight up failures of imports or last minute changes in what you actually got vs. what was promised. Some retailers actually got their money in pre-orders to fund/justify a given import.

Word to the wise, unless it's in-stock I am not buying.

Pretty much. I refuse to buy any of the 180 models as they all seem to be trash. Guess ill start buying all the accessories for my ruger marlin before it arrives now. Ive given up and a decent semi auto.
 
A whole of of disgruntled perspective owners will now be throwing their money at Famae's, APCs and Tavors.

I'm going to wait out the pre-order and see what happens. If it gets banned then we get our money back.
 
NS just posted on Instagram that their promised batch of NR CZ bren 2s is delayed till spring 2023

Thats a huge bummer. That was supposed to be arriving around my Bday and i was gonna spoil myself. Might get the R version but I assume all the R version will get gobbed up asap before I can save for one. lol damn

Don't discount the revised Sterling Arms International R18 Mk2. It is an Ar-180 variant that is about the farthest thing from "trash" as you are likely to find....

While it does sound like the R18MK2 is a solid product I feel like the majority of us that wanted a NR Bren 2 wanted something other than an AR180 type rifle. Yes I know the operating system draws it's lineage from the 180 but the Bren 2 has a modern look and feel akin to the SCAR, ACR, XCR, APC platforms.

The sterling is still a 180 and weighs close to 10lbs dry. Bren 2 with a 16 inch barrel is 7.3 lbs. NR version will be not much more. I'd way rather pack around a lighter rifle. Not saying the sterling is bad but mediocre accuracy and being a tank ruin it for me
