Transfer times in BC

I had agreed to buy 3 pistols from a coworker's husband before the shmozzle, but he dragged his feet about getting the transfer started until after June 1st. He still hasn't gotten through to the CFC, but he did print out and we filled out the paper copy of the transfer that the CCFR had posted. He sent it Registered Mail and it was signed for at the CFC June 8th. So my two questions are:
1) Has anyone had approval from the paper forms yet? Ever?
2) He tells me he is still trying to call, but hasn't got through yet. Will there be any confusion/issue if he gets through THEN they decide to process the paper copy?

Pretty much, it depends when it was initiated and who you talk to some will do it some won't. You just have to make sure you're actually talking to the provincial CFO's office and not the main RCMP because they can't do anything.
 
How do you make sure of that? I just got through on the phone line finally and the lady only could tell me that they were indeed in progress and i need to keep waiting... 8 weeks in
 
Anyone with a recently approved transfer in B.C. care to share the first 3 digits of their transfer number, just to see where we are at in line?
 
Mine i received on Friday was 589. That was a purchase i made June 2nd and transfer was initiated the same day.

I'm getting pretty tired of trying to get through on the phone. Tried calling over 100+ times the last few days, and even right at opening. It's unbelievable that they simply hang up the call and don't allow you to wait on the line... Any advice on best time to call?
 
I called to get an ATT today and when that was done the Gentleman on the phone asked if there was any thing else he could do. I asked if he could check the status of a transfer and in a few minutes he had it approved for me. BC CFO's office.
 
I tried to initiate a transfer a few weeks ago with the B.C. CFO. Never did get through. Someone in Miramichi did it for me.
Has anyone got through to get an ATT approved in B.C. lately?

Can anyone tell me what the email looks like from the CFO with the approval. I am at about 4wks waiting since both the seller and me phoned to initiate the transfer. Today I received an email from the CFP with a link to log in to my CFP account. Is this a scam? What did email look like that CFP sent to others who got one completed. The email looks legit but when click the link it seems a bit odd. Don’t rust it so thought would try phoning tomorrow. Interested to know what others received. Thanks

I called yesterday at 10 am, on hold 25 minutes, nice lady would only approve one of my two from last month. She said most of her colleagues are willing to do one transfer per phone call. I thank her politely and call back around 1 pm, on hold for 45 minutes and got the second one approved. All in all a good day.
