Prophet River's Handguns and future shipments

This article doesn't address what the question was. PR explained they were worried that after today that handguns that are in Canada but not registered to the dealer could run into problems. It was the in between. The border is now closed but guns over the border on route might not have serials assigned to dealers. this is what they wanted to avoid. They were staying up late to get all the paperwork done so the guns are in there name for transfers to happen.

So long story short, Border is closed, transfers are still happening dealer to consumer.

It's ok tho I hear the drones carrying hockey bags filled with illegal guns have continued to cross the border without any issues so the gangs will continue to get their firearms so Liberal Policy working as intended

Jesus, how big is the drone that can carry a hockey bag. I miss the old days when you could dirt bike across the border with a couple dozen pounds of gardening, and come back with some high energy sugar substitute. Oh, wait... you still can. Thankfully no criminals would ever be so dastardly to bring in weapons.

It should be a crime to own 45acp pistols and not have at least one if them be a 1911. Just saying... Hopefully the taurus (tauruses? taurusi?) that PR just sold out of all find good homes

Agreed, that's why I already have kimber stainless II 1911, Taylor 1911 and p220 match elite in the pipeline.

I just pulled the trigger on an M&P 2.0 45 on prophet's website- GET SOME!!

Which model did you go for? It appears that the M&P45s with the thumb safety are outselling the ones without. Weird on a duty pistol. I bought one with the safety early on from another retailer not knowing if anymore would be available, and wish I had waited to get one without from PR. Anyone here prefer the M&P with the safety? If so, how come?

From my understanding you can remove the safety and there are hole plugs you can buy and install from M&P. Not sure how to order them tho. I ordered the FDE version no safety the other day, Safeties on handguns is weird only my 1911 has one. I prefer DA/SA decocker pistols personally but don't mind striker fired I have a CZ 97BD that's 45 but wanted a striker fired one and not a fan of the glock ergonomics

I ordered this one..I seen they listed these handguns twice on their website, but with my ignorance, I couldnt figure out what the difference was, despite being different SKU's. The Manual safety must be the difference. It appears the one I purchased as the safety. I just selected it and added to cart lol

So, we did the one gun this morning. The registration was sent for further review. This CAN happen anytime but normally only when there is a duplicate serial in the system or some other flag. Yester , we registered guns in the same sequence that all went through. We saved this one just to test.

The safety can be easily removed. Everything about the safety and non-safety models is identical. Same frame, same everything, so don't worry. The frame of the non-safety model has the safety cut outs as well, it just has the hole plugs installed at the factory.

There are a few good videos on YouTube showing how to remove the safety. Super easy, and only takes a few minutes.

On the plus side, you now have the safety lever and associated parts should you change your mind and want to use them later, or you can sell them.

Hi - so you are saying you're not sure you (gun stores) can register guns now? Or that you aren't sure if transfers are going through?

Any cz ts2 or shadow 2 possible, or what's posted is the end?

Wow - glad you got everything in before the deadline! Good call on the late night.

They are trying really hard to put an end to this. Crazy.

Transfers can still be initiated, but the stores may not be able to register new pistols (to the store) if they can't get them registered then they wont be able to sell/transfer to customers. Sounds like they have been able to register all of their current/expected stock other than potentially 1 firearm.

"Import ban" Other restrictions discussed depend on action govt expected to be tabled in the fall.

These are the last.
