Transfer Times

i usually get a fax back from seller. Then the green slip comes by mail.
they may very well send them by email so keep an eye on that, and spam folder

My non restricted cfo messages arrive by email telling you to check the web service messages and the transfer is in there to download or print if that helps

I am starting to suspect that Ontario surveils your house for 7 months, then flips a coin to decide if your paperwork goes to the bottom of the pile or only half way down. But fear not! Every day they randomly select five (5) transfers for approval.
Was talking with the nice lady handling bc transfers yesterday (there was a screw up on one I was selling), obviously she couldn't go into detail, but she did ask why i had so much flow through (buys and sells) in the last few months (because I can't test/try guns where i live, so I order what I'm interested in and sell those that don't 'work' for me, be it fit, feel, or they clash with my handbag...) She said "that make sense", then pumped through all 5 that I was selling (fortunately to other bc residents). Took nearly 5 minutes to do all 5. And thats to 5 different buyers. So they can't be doing very much screening (or any). I'd suspect that once it goes through the federal transfer (the 1-4-2 process) and lands on the desk of the cfo in the province, its just waiting for a rubber stamp...

A rubber stamp is all I suspect that is required as well; after all, it's not as if the CFO has a super double secret file on us that the feds don't have access to. Anything beyond that is just delay and obfuscation for the sake of bureaucracy and inconvenience of gun owners.

You should call them, they just told me they are processing June 2nd right now, so the list is moving approximately 1 day forward every 2-3 weeks …..brutal
