god no, I handled one of those last Febuary and it was disgusting

I need to focus on buying a scope for this 338 first :D maybe a 1.75-6 VXIII

I think he should bore it out to something else without even firing it. I won't mention any caliber in particular but I do know of one that comes to mind,
turning it into a mini 35 Whelan......... Naturally it cannot be an American cartridge in that Euro gun.
 
Well what are you going to do in your spare time not having to restock, rebedd, tune the trigger etc on the Sako.

It's just a rework of something that was done way back in the 20's or so.....the 338x57 O'Connor.
The 8x57 and the 7x57 has a way more class........
