I agree this would make it look a lot less awkward. It’s a good start though. Don’t get me wrong I’m thrilled to see the aftermarket growing for these

You have to turn the metal tabs on the back. Use a flat blade screwdriver. Also might have to pry them out slightly.

Mounted my gyro handguard - worked well, but mine was missing the grub screw needed to tighten it against the gas plug / valve. Still, a decent piece of kit.

That screw is for ensuring that the gas regulator stays in selected position - it has a matching recess in it.

Yes, I'm very much aware of what it's for. I'm going to have to contact gyroscope and see if I can get a set screw for it.

Actually really easy - fit and finish reminded me of the design, engineering, and execution of the old NEA Vz58 accessories (...remember back when NEA was just doing awesome Vz custom stuff, before they went off in their whole train-wreck of an AR15 direction??). It all fit and went together with zero issues. The missing grub screw is a bit of a problem, but it is an easily fixable issue.

Did anyone else have an issue with the hole in the front of the lower handguard retainer (cleaning rod) not lining up with the threaded hole in the Gyroscope lower handguard?
