1911's to be found anywhere?

Anyone have a tag on Springfield 1911s?

They were all gone soon after announcement. I waited until early-mid July, RDSC brought in some I think. Then Tenda late July brought in Garrisons. Saw a few 9mm Emissaries in between. haven't seen any since. I checked Arsenal Force and my own list of 15 non arsenal force retailers manually every day.

Just got email notification from Tenda for Springfield Armory 1911 Garrison in 45 for 1300. Jumped on that. 14 in stock as of now. Sucks that its probably a couple hundred above "true" price but whatever.

^ this was the last time I saw them unfortunately

Since no more imports, unless someone is saving them for very very late price gouging, I would expect 2nd hand to be your only way to get them.

Definitely one of the rarer ones to stock. One thing that I was looking for is a new browning buck mark medallion or UDX stainless but they never showed up

Looks like there are 5 available. Looks like they’ve had a jump in price.

Less extreme of a jump than most others. Having owned a DW in the past I can say with confidence that they are worth the money. Can damn near guarantee the PM-45 will be better built than other guns currently playing in the $2500-$3000 category.

Anyone looking for a nice 1911 would be very hard pressed to do better, especially right now.

I was able to buy a Springfield Milspec from Nordic Marksman in July. I am very impressed, the slide and frame have virtually no play, almost like a custom fitted pistol. Safety is a bit stiff but that can be a good thing. Trigger is about 5-6 lbs but very crisp, once again, not a bad thing, a street trigger.

Someone please buy this before I ruin my marriage

Thanks for tip....grabbed one (hopefully!).

I should have grabbed a wartime one when things were normal...now there's simply no way I'm paying those prices for a rattly pitted mess with a quarter inch deep idiot scratch in it :)

Very nice!

Quite reminiscent of the pre series 70 Colt Government models!

^^^^^^

I paid $650 circa 1992 for my a/a Colt govt mfg 1968 which would be $1,372 in 2022 dollars. :)
