Update On Ontario Restricted Transfer Times

As I've commented elsewhere in relation to this previously, the government's intent to slow or stop handgun sales, be they retail or private exchanges with their proposed legislation has clearly had the opposite effect; I found and purchased a Glock 44 from a BC dealer on August 17 (for $528 - the real retail price before the madness started), with a transfer reference number of 60004xx. Just over 30,000 new transfers have been initiated in less than a month between my transfer reference and yours today. There have been more than 100,000 transfers initiated since my only other post-announcement purchase on June 10 (59303xx) and yours today. Quite simply, just crazy times.

6031### Today. Only because I'm a sucker for punishment.

Patients Grasshopper, between numbers and dates members are quite ok to thread drift a bit. You’ll be ok with that, eh?

This is useful to me, and others to check where the transfers for Ontario are at. Clueless analysis and debate can be discussed elsewhere.

Sorry but this is an open forum but I understand you’re fairly new here so I would suggest you adapt rather that dictate thread decorum.

I will continue to express my opinions in any manner I wish. I will not adapt because I am new. You don’t like my comments move along.

And now back to what this thread should be about...

Is anyone getting through to the RCMP? My calls are either dropped or not even put into the queue

Yes, I called a couple of time between 9 and 10, got through on third call around 10:15 and on hold for 18 minutes.

Call taker said its jammed between 9 and 10 , 11 and 1, 2:30 till close.

Apparently the system logs and generates daily reports of call patterns

You're in NB, not that much of an issue getting in between 9-10 AST. When Ontario and Quebec opens up at 9 EST, that when the volume increases.
