Update On Ontario Restricted Transfer Times

My panic night May 30 gun purchase finally arrived at my door yesterday. A full 105 days from date of purchase.

4 days (June 2) to get the transfer into the system and get a ref #5896519, 92 days awaiting approval, and 9 days in shipping (includes long weekend)

I have 4 more in the system. All Aug 1 and beyond purchases that have reference numbers. I hope I live long enough to get them!

Yea looks like the 5901 and 5902 completions saturday were outliers. Wonder if the private queue guy got done with a date and grabbed some business ones from june 3rd or 4th

I agree, although 5901-2 are still falls within June 2nd. Maybe a newbie in training ???

I posted too early, see below :)

Wanted to share some good news, do not have any details but received an email directly : CFO,OPP & CFC are working together to address the high volume of transfer applications submitted to the CFO since May 31, 2022.
Hopefully means we will see some speed ups soon.

Hopefully.

That being said, my complaint to the Ombudsman resulted in them asking for more info & then going silent...

My emails to the Premier & the Solicitor General were unacknowledged.

My email to my MPP (lib) received a cursory reply whereby they said they would bring it to the Premier's & Solicitor General's attention, to which I replied with a copy of your chart Wolf, noting that my July 13th purchase would take almost an entire year.

Essentially, IMHO, the gun issue is a lost cause in their eyes & they couldn't really give a damn that vetted gun owners in ONTerrible are having to endure these unreasonable wait times.

Cheers
Jay
P.S. Thank you for your chart Wolf!

I hear you, all my other emails have been unanswered, same as yours but above news was directly from ON CFO.

Haha
The fact that they might have a few piles in parallel might mean completions might not be entirely sequential in the short run? i.e. if 5900s are going at the same time as 5902s, might mean we can't assume all 5900s and 5901s are complete and can only update after a week or 2's worth of data. Lets see if any more below 5902 come in.
