Transfer times in BC

Called 1-1-9530 about 20x to get out on hold and dropped call. Called about another 30x, put on hold about 10 mins and got transfer approved. Purchase was made Sept 1. Second time this has worked for me. You just have to keep calling. Very polite woman on other end both times.

you called 50x for a gun you purchased 2 weeks ago?

Fkn dumbasss government. Everything they do is halfass and inefficient. Now they give themselves a stat holiday on our dime to mourn some inbred old pedo-birthing hag

Im good with it canada has a connection to the monarch its not something every country can say, and NO other country can say they sacked the White House because we had a king and queen ;)

Man talk about being Lucky I got through on 4th call and managed to get Sept 6th approved.

2nd call for me today and got through, a Sept and Aug purchase both approved, my final ones. Had tried a few calls when I had time over last 3-4 business days without luck before that. CFO agent was very nice to speak with.

I wish people would have a little more patience and wait at least 6-8 weeks before calling. All you are doing is jumping the queue and tying up the firearms officers when they could be approving transfers in the order that they were received. I am still waiting on a July transfer, and seems that some others are still waiting on June transfers.

Not a chance. It has become pretty clear that transfers just sit. I don't believe for a second that people are activly working on transfers, maybe one or two tops but if an information officer can get one done while on the phone with you why not. If one has the time an paticence to phone in a get them approved, well more power to them, just means there are less in the queue.

I think hours are something like 830am to 3pm pacific or close to that

I believe it is 0900hrs to 1400hrs PST.

FML... Trying to call in a poke them again. Yesterday they approved 6002*** which was a personal buy out of Alberta started Aug 17. I'm still waiting on 3 from my F-I-L here in BC on 5976*** initiated back in July.

***update: after MANY attempts I got through to be placed on hold by 9530 three times. Each time I would sit on hold for 19-26 minutes before the line disconnected. I'm now on hold for the fourth time...

I called 22 times over lunch (BC time) and eventually got in the queue only to get disconnected after about 25 minutes of being on hold. Called 11 more times and got through after 29 minutes of waiting and the nice lady approved my transfer for me. The whole ordeal took less than an hour. I asked if there was any light at the end of the tunnel yet and she guffawed and said there were still “thousands and thousands” of outstanding transfers to process, but that they were “happy” to approve transfers over the phone for people who called in.

So to all you guys who are griping about calling in and “jumping the line,” get over your unrealistic sense of fairness and just take an hour off work and pick up the phone. You don’t live in Ontario, you don’t HAVE to wait until November 2037 to get your transfer approved.

it seems to be slowing down a LOT in july august it was going up like 7000 in 3 days Ive got one now for aug 26 its 6014### and one from Sep 15 thats 6033### so as it goes along it will get a lot faster I theorize. That said what is BC at now? it was 5955### last I checked anyone know?

you know everyone seems to be getting through to that one "really nice woman" its almost like she's the only one on the phone if that's the case we should collectively send her a basket of muffins or something she's gotta be busier than a one legged man in an arse kicking contest. If you get through great I do not think she does desk work too, she's the phone person so every one she does makes it faster for the rest as she does several in a batch she cleared a whole day worth of #s for me in one call so 3 others will get theres faster and mine was a fluke lol I woke up stressed thinking about the bill passing I dialed the phone and got through lol I tried 3 times total once a month when I could not take waiting anymore and needed to feel proactive "P so ya if you get through your ultimately doing others a favor whether they see it or not

I actually wouldn't mind sending her a gift card or muffins or something. The very nice lady who helped me, her name was Kelli. How would we go about doing this? Send it to Green Timbers CFO office with a note?
