Update On Ontario Restricted Transfer Times

My transfer was approved on Aug 26th by the Ontario CFO. My purchase arrived in the mail and I immediately wondered how long I would have to wait for the certificate. It arrived in the mail yesterday. The Firearms Registration Certificate was issued by the RCMP on Sept 6. I thought I would post in case anyone else was wondering.

Is there a way we can extrapolate to ref # above 5969###?
Maybe just repeat the transfers for july in august?
July week to week transfer numbers seem to have stabilized, more or less.

I have those listed on the right side with data I have gathered with CGN, list there is from 5969515 to 6031000 , rates are going to change so much over time.

It seems like they have been bouncing around a bit more in the last few days. I have a graph logging the transfer data from here and it has gotten a bit "noisy" in the last week or so. It seems like something has changed in process, a new hire, their procedure, something. Along with the noise has also come an increase in productivity, the slope on the trend line has increased as well.

It will be interesting to see if this productivity sticks or if it just a flash in the pan.

Rate has changed so much, that dates are no longer accurate in a goodway. We are seeing 1000 increase in a day, average of 300 ontario transfer per day !!! Seems like cavalry has arrived from OPP to help CFO :) With current rate we should see June 4th transfers starting in few days.

Some would advise not to post your entire Reference #. Use an 'X' to block out the last 2 digits for personal security.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but 5966### you will be waiting around another 6 months. I have some 597### and 598### which I don't expect until the spring
