What is your 'Last' pistol going to be?

The Jericho really is a solid gun. I bought mine back in 2013, have put thousands of rounds through it, and still enjoy shooting it over many of my newer flashier handguns.

My "final" handgun was a Heckler & Koch USP in .45 ACP

Looks like my last one will be a an HK USP 9 Tactical. I had my heart set on an HK USP 45 but I have not been able to find one any where. Yes, I know there is one on the EE but I won't buy it for reasons.

I prefer the 9s and 40s because you can add the Jet Funnel. Makes a big different in balance and handling imo. So don't feel like you compromised!

e.g. (not my image obviously)

HK : No compromises. I had a USP45c many years ago and foolishly traded it. I have had a 9 as well. They are all great pistols.

Ok. I was worried some had shown up and I missed them.

Well, my last hurrah will be a Silver Chrome Browning Hi Power. I thought it was going to be a Nickel Bersa Thunder 380, but I decided to sell my left kidney and buy the Hi Power...

Why the hype about the Glocks? I have one and don't really like it but no desire going through the transfer nightmare.

My last one now was a Girsan MC9. I like the looks and the reviews on youtube are pretty good. Yes, it is Turkish but Girsan is a Nato approved manufacturer, so spare your comments about Turkish guns.

Still have a bunch of 45 ACP ammo including critical defense but I stick with 9mm.

The most appreciated handgun in my family is actually the Norinco 22 from Marstar. And at $200, I can't complain and shoots pretty good with the CCI stingers.

Because its what Samual Gerard carries...
"Get yourself a Glock and lose that nickel plated sissy pistol"

Years ago the main argument for a Glock was reliability. I don't think that is true anymore. I don't even remember having feeding or firing problems with handguns ever, unless it was some cheap ammo or with a Tokarev and surplus ammo.

One argument is accessories which is true, the range of aftermarket support for Glocks, especially the 17 is amazing, plus cheap magazines.

Glock is like Coca Cola. It has instant brand recognition, even among the general public it is a house hold name. Ask a regular person if they know what a Canik or an M&P or a P320 is and they probably won't Ask them if they know what a Glock is an they probably will. It is seen in the hands of your favorite Cop, rapper, action hero, cult leader.

Reliablility wasn't even an arguemnt in the 90's when they started showing up in the holsters of police across the globe. A lot of agencies went from the Beretta 92/96 to the Glock in favour the ease of use, simplicity in takedown/ repair and later access to accessories. The Beretta is arguably just as reliable as the Glock but the cost is just higher over all. These were a major selling factor along with the price. When you buy 1000 Glocks at $300+/- vs 1000 new Beretta's at $600+/- a unit it looks a lot better on a police budget.

Glock is also hyper agressive in securing contracts with LE/gov agencies. They will often undercut the competitors, offer extra mags, training, aftermarket support and pretty much do any thing else necessary to grow their market share.

I get it. Paid $650 for mine, that's about as far as I will go. I saw Glocks being advertised and still are on GP for $1,500 - and it appears some bought at that price.

Cheers

Same here. My last purchase was a Glock because it was the one major maker that I don't or hadn't owned at some point. Now it's just a matter of settling in and waiting until the Ontario CFO gets to my transfer.
