Ruger Marlin 45/70

I love my Marlin guide gun but it was $700 when I got it in 2007. $4000 seems silly. You can buy some great rifles for that. You could even find a used Winchester model 71 in 348 (my all time favorite) and still afford to stock up on ammo I bet. Even in this day in age of inflated prices I would expect a semi custom or very collectible rifle for $4000.

There s always a couple of idiots that will pay that kind of money for something like that as they get caught in the just got to have it mode.I just chuckle at the thought of them trying to resell it in the future and wondering why no one will pay their price especially when these rifles become common as grass down the road

This is an im bored for my amusement type thread but actually a serious question. Has anyone actually paid 4000 dollars on ee for one of these offerings? I bought one two years ago for just shy of 1200 on ee. Couldn't believe what I was reading today. Then I got around to looking and everyone seems to want your first born. Talk about gouging. Mines not for sale so no pms haha.

Buddy bought one and it will be delivered to the BassPro near him.
$1700 and change .
SS, silver laminate stock.
Get one before they are gone.

Said it before and I’ll say it again. Was the first on the list to order in Canada… personally I would have paid up to $2500 to get one but yet I wouldn’t sell mine for less than the 3500-4K as others have asked.

It’s not leaving and is my main Predator gun, Ruger got this right!

But you said you'd pay up to 2500 for it so why would it be worth 4000 to sell it? Your perceived value of it is 2500 and that makes sense but 4000 is ridiculous.

There’s a big difference between what your willing to buy something for vs selling it for…

As I said I would have paid up to $2500 at retail for one. Because I ordered extremely early from a rep dealer I got one of the first in Canada at 1650+tax… however I would not sell it for any less than 4K and even then might not unless I was sure I could get another in short order.

Just ordered one from Cabela's on a impulse buy $1968.38 all in:)

Yeah, me too!! I could not resist……$1977 and change. Pick up at the store. It’s All Good!

The software says it’s “in stock’ but online. Okay, we shall see how things turn out!!

Cheers, Barney

Hmmm, I'm off $$ in what my co-worker claimed he paid.
Going to question him this morning and see whats up in the price discrepancy from Ontario and BC.
Congrats to those who bought and received their orders.

Just for fun, I was able to add 21 before it said stock exceeded when I ordered mine yesterday morning via Cabelas. Sold out online pretty darn quick!
