If they ever get restocked
Just saw pictures of a lot of new barrels. So hopefully soon.
If they ever get restocked
Thinking timney trigger pack. What would you recommend for bolt?
Any reason everyone is ignoring the upgraded BX trigger? Supposedly the same trigger pull.

Here we go again - I hope that the original poster realizes that if he decided to sell it he might get 60 cents to the dollar

Good 10/22's builds are money pits
I'd say go big or go home !
Don't waste money on a Ruger 10/22, you will end using none of those parts.
Mine Dlask receiver and bolt, Kidd Match barrel, receiver pins and 2 stage trigger, Victor Titan stock. No ruger parts at all.
Id did the 1/2 inch challenge :https://www.canadiangunnutz.com/for...-Prove-it!?p=18200463&viewfull=1#post18200463
The Kidd 2 stage trigger ( straight blade ) is, IMO, the best trigger you can get for a Target 10/22.
As much as i like my rifle, I don't shoot it too often because its too expensive to shoot lolll.

The main reason I didn't go dlask barrel is because its a sporter chamber and I wanted a match chamber.
FYI if you're getting both the barrel and receiver from dlask... ask them to install before shipping. I had a heck of a time getting my volquartsen barrel into a dlask receiver. I ended up having to ratchet the barrel in using the v-block, not ideal.
Would a sporter chamber make much difference in accuracy?
Good advice on the installation. Thanks.
Curious about why you didn't go with a Dlask barrel?
Also wondering about Victor Titan stock say vs. a ProMag Archangel precision stock?
Ruger parts can be sold. Lots of people out there who have 10/22s.
Did you shoot 500 rounds of Center-X? Haha
How's the repeatability? I was thinking of trying this but only have CCI SV, wonder if its doable with that and a 10/22
I'm relatively new as well so correct me anyone if I'm wrong. My understanding is Sporter chamber is looser, makes for easier feeding but might give you trouble with ammo that is not as strict within tolerances. Sporter chamber helps you pew pew without fail with any ammo. Match chamber usually tighter tolerances and is more accurate but might give you trouble feeding on bulk ammo. That said I haven't had any issues with CCI SV on my Volquartsen, but someone else can chime in on how it is with the Kidd barrel.
I had a Dlask barrel on another build. It was a great barrel. I think Dlask barrels are made from Green Mountain blanks, which are known for their quality and accuracy.
Just wanted to go with one the best and I went with Kidd.
I like the Titan stock. That been said, there is some gaps between the stock and action. I'm pretty sure my rifle would benefit from some sort of bedding. Maybe I would achieve more repeatability with a bedding job.
Can't speak for the Promag stock, never had one.
Factory Ruger parts are difficult to sell. Every one swap parts and try to sell their factory parts. Offer is greater than demand.
The 10/22 design is pretty much bullet proof and will not require alot of spare parts.
This rifle is capable eat the brick of 500 rounds in an afternoon, easy... its a pig !
Mine also like CCI SV and its pretty accurate with it.
Lapua Center-X is what my rifle really like. Slightly more accurate than CCI but more consistent.
Your thinking is good.
CCI SV cycles and shoots great in my Kidd barrel. I won't fire anything bulk in mine except CCI Blaser.
So the ammo issue is that mostly the cheap stuff won't cycle properly.
A sporter chamber handles everything with aplomb but isn't as accurate.
It seems the chamber accuracy is inherently tied to the barrel so probably hard to tell which is contributing the most to accuracy.
