10/22 build advice

They made bolts for a while though. Apparently stopped because it cost them the same to make as buying Kidd bolts

And Grey Birch was making bolts in Ontario until they scampered off to Florida. Add a Dlask or Spectre receiver, an IBI or Dlask barrel, MDT for the underworks, and you're most of the way there.

Edit: but I guess the point is there isn't a made-in-Canada bolt on offer anymore.

They used to make a receiver with a 20moa rail. According to Leigh of Dlask they no longer make a receiver with an inclined rail. Or at least that is what he told me about 6 months ago when I wanted to buy one. Occasionally one comes up for sale on the EE.

It's too bad that Dlask doesn't offer more MOA options for the rails. Depending on target distances and internal adjustment of the scope used, it may make sense to go for a 30 MOA rail (or higher in some extremes). There are scope rings (Burris?) you can get which allow MOA adjustment using shims. Though, I've no direct experience with those and wonder how solid they are and if they maintain their settings.

The Burris XTR rings do a good job. I have several pairs. Lots of cant options.

I was lucky enough to grab a Grey Birch receiver, threaded carbon barrel and bolt assembly before they moved to the US. Added a KRG Bravo stock and Ruger BX trigger group. Very happy with the combo.
