10/22 build advice

I decided on the Kidd trigger. Is the two stage easy to get used to? I have a lot of single stage triggers set in oz for my bolt guns, my ars are all timney and triggertech single.. no experience with a 2 but that seems to be the lightest available for the 10/22. Do you need to reset both stages after the shot?

It functions the same as the single stage as far as resetting once fired. It won’t take long to get use too and I’ve switched most of my triggers other than some hunting rifles. I really like the flat blade but it’s a personal preference.

Thanks! I’ll try it out then. I prefer flat blades too, timney triggers have a nice curve though

Exactly !

+1 on the flat blade

Hey guys.

If you were to build your dream 10/22, what components would you guys use?

Also if you come across any Black Friday sales for parts, please post here.

I’m going tuff 22 receiver, Kidd barrel, trigger, bolt, buffer, and springs. Dlask charging handle, and throwing it in a Krg bravo. Going to throw on an atlas bipod and top it off with an Arken sh4 I think

Thanx guys.

Not sure what to think of the Tuff receiver. I would like to add a 30 moa ish rail, but the Tuff has built 0 moa rail.

You can buy a Dlask receiver with a flat top and add a sloped rail. That’s what I did with my last build. I put a 30moa rail n it. You can also buy the Burris rings with inserts. Where are the Lilja barrels being purchased? I have a shiny new SS Volquartsen receiver screaming for a barrel to be installed lol

Are you sure, the Dlask Tuff receiver rail have 0 moa.

I ordered mine a couple years ago but if I remember well, they have been made in both 0 moa and 20-25-ish moa…

Pretty sur my receiver isn’t a 0 moa.

They used to make a receiver with a 20moa rail. According to Leigh of Dlask they no longer make a receiver with an inclined rail. Or at least that is what he told me about 6 months ago when I wanted to buy one. Occasionally one comes up for sale on the EE.

Very nice! BTW, how difficult is it to mate the barrel with the receivers.
I'm hearing some say you need to be a gunsmith to do it properly.

Yes and no, it depends of your skills...

Bought my receiver and barrel from Dlask so I asked them to do the assembly.
While I would have been capable to do it myself, they have years of experience of 10/22's assembly.
I'm pretty sure they did it free since I've bought the parts from them.

That's what I thought...Mines is a 20 MOA then.

Thanks

The carbon one wasn’t bad. Little grease and heat on the receiver. Was still work to get in.
The fluted was a real pain.. grease and heat on receiver. Froze barrel. Still had to do some filing and sanding and a couple blows with rubber mallet.
It took about 30 min to get the carbon done. Hours to do the fluted.
