Update On Ontario Restricted Transfer Times

At 12:44 today I bought another Heritage Rough Rider...

Firearms Outlet Canada hasn't provided me with the Ref# yet, but I'll update this post when I have it.

And with that, I think I'm done with handgun purchases... My guess is the freeze is next week...

I see you stopped on the same listing I did, what a great last gun. I just wish I could do cowboy action shooting with it since you cant use a 686.

Also, you’re not going to get a reference number from them, this is my fourth handgun from them since may.
 
Not a lot of transfers posted today!!! I wonder if it was slow at the office. Hopefully they are working this weekend

Their job is not limited to process transfers.. they also visit/inspect gunshops, shooting ranges, take part of investigation that involve guns and explosives.. revoke licenses, in same cases they may have to go to court… not to mention meetings, training, that sort of things.

I’ve purchased two firearms from them. I have received two transfer reference numbers. Have you guys emailed them asking?

there is no reason for a dealer not to provide the reference number

I bought a girsan mc9 from marstar yesterday morning midafternoon they updated my order with the reference number

Marstar did the same for me and also initiated it same day. That's customer service and that's why even though I have local gun shops I will now be buying from Marstar whenever they have what I'm looking for.
 
the guys at FOC don't like giving out Reference numbers. If you buy at a good firearm retailer they will automatically email you the Ref# within 24 hours.

I hope they are reading this thread. They are 15 minutes from my house and I loved that store until somewhere down the line they became arrogant and also raised prices more than other stores. Hopefully they take some constructive criticism and change.

I know someone is going to be angry and post that this is off track relating to original thread but it needed to be said as many of us are concerned.
 
Have you inquired about the package to them? I’ve only had good experiences with them, so it’s interesting seeing these other perspectives.

I did, twice now, and emailed. It's in the pile to go out, apparently. Tuesday will make it 3 full weeks since they have me my tracking number. I'll be calling and emailing them again although it doesn't seem to help.
