7mm PRC is SAAMI approved.

Savage also released a pile of guns in 7-prick. Just waiting for someone I'll actually buy a rifle from to release one :)

Savage sells 6mm ARC, 280 AI axis and a 10lb straight pull rifle marketed at Americans. They do all sorts of weird ####.

But now that the most popular cartridge on the planet is chambered in the greatest rifle ever made who knows what will happen? :dancingbanana:

I have an idea what will happen.
The same people who rolled into Cabelas and came out as long range snipers with a 6.5 creedmoor will now own two guns. And YouTube will have even more videos of people shooting things at even longer ranges. Claiming it was all in the head stamp.
But I have been wrong before.

Time for a dose of reality in this thread. The 7 PRC in nothing more the the 280 Rem reimagined. Both cases hold 68 grs of ball powder to the bottom of the case neck, both need a long action. The 7 Rem Mag hold 86 grs of the same powder to the bottom of the neck. Given the same operating pressure, the Rem Mag will 200 fps + faster with any given bullet weight.

Not that it will make any difference, this rifle like all the builds before it will be used to poke a few holes in a piece of paper before being sold off without so much as a CWD ditch donkey to its credit.

Well aren’t you just a Ray of Sunshine and Pessimism ! f:P: RJ

I have a few 7 Rem mags. Not spending money on a rebarrel so that I can shoot expensive designer brass slower.

Definitely doesn’t make sense if you have a good shooting 7 mag. Interesting cartridge for a custom though. It’ll be more
Interesting when hornady brass hits the shelves. I love Gucci brass just as much as the next guy but it’s it pains me to lose it in the bush, which I’m prone to do on a hunting rifle.
