Update On Ontario Restricted Transfer Times

How long does it take for the registration certificate and the new PAL to arrive after my first restricted transfer approval? I’ve waited for 2 weeks and still got nothing in my mail.

Usually 2 weeks. If not after the 3rd week, call and get a reprint.

Here is an interesting question. I assume that there will be a number of restricted firearm purchasers going on vacation over the holidays. What happens to transfers approved and shipped while the recipient might be out of the country?

Good call, just contact the seller and let this person/business know that you will be out of town for the period. For those that are in this situation, I recommend to take the action in advance. Acoiding CP or UPS messing up with your toy. MIne only comes in Jan/Feb as per the trend nowadays.

You won't be able to call, since all calls go through Miramichi which is definitely closed today. But it is not a statutory holiday in Ontario, so there is a chance that the OPP are working. I guess we'll see if anyone gets any approvals today or not.

Rememberance day is a stat holiday for federally regulated workers but not a stat holiday in Ontario. I’m working today but my wife has the day off since she works for the bank.

Got a call for my approval on the 10th for a person to person from June 14th 59362**. They left a message to call back, as I was out of the country. Tried today, wasn't able to get ahold of them today.
