I'm a tool because I do not agree with taking a Doe and 2 fawns please?. 14yrs or 40 he should have known better we party hunt but when it comes to anterless tags only the people who own the tag get to fill it. I know if I was party hunting and some dink filled my tag with a Fawn I would freak.
but your right "Ignorance must be bliss"![]()
well I guess I'm the only one here who practices proper deer management..... I too get an anterless tag but it doesnt get filled till the last few days of the hunt and not with a Fawn thats for sure...Thats my way of doing things and I may be different then you guys so what ever I have hunted this way since I was 12 with my dad I passed up Doe's and Fawns on my first hunt. I have now relised there is no harm in harvesting a Doe.... for me it just has to be at the end of the season.
of course he got all 3 they were pets and just wanted to play.... a seasoned hunter or even a properly trained young hunter would have known something was up and would also know his neighbor had pet deer.
oh and if you know so much about quality deer management then you would also know the goal is to not take game under 1yr of age. Its not the Doe that angers me its the fawns. Seems like you need to do some more research my friend on what QDMA really is.
Just because my post count is low doesnt make me a noob to hunting.
people aquire some weird pets I know people who have skunks, racoons....ect
dunno I dont moose hunt so I have no opinion

again I'm a troll cause I dont agree with killing Fawns and peoples pets SORRY!...
You say "The kid fulfilled the spirit and purpose of that and broke no laws"
Like I said before there is just as much proof saying there were laws broken as there are saying there werent.....where did you see the tags? we are reading the same info we are just interpreting it differently thats all.
Like I said I hunt one way you hunt another leave it at that. I have been hunting this way for 12years and find it weird how many deer hunters shoot the first thing that pops out. I will take a doe but it will be big and mature no yearlings or fawns.

You are so full of b***sh*t I am amazed!
You assume this kid broke some law when there's not even a reason to think that way!
You claim to know deer management when you apparently don't even take time to think about it!Shooting fawns does NOT hurt the deer population, 1/2 will be buck fawns not much loss to the population there, & the does fawns will take a couple yrs before they even multiply the herd by 1 more! BUT if you shoot a mature doe, you will probably eliminate a pair of fawns each year for those 2 yrs.
Do the math 1 female fawn in 2yrs = 1 new fawn for a total of 2 deer.
compared to mature doe + 2 fawns each yr = 1+2+2=5
MNR has been attempting to get hunters to understand these basics facts with moose for years & still have trouble apparently with people like you
AND of course you realize it is illegal to keep deer as pets! or do you?
You SIR are nothing more than a TROLL![]()
WOW you guys are beating this to death eh?. I have appoligized 3+ times for jumping to conclusions and you just wont let it go.
if your goal is to even out the buck-doe ratio and to keep herd numbers steady or drop them if they are over populated then it doesnt make sence to take a yearling Doe that hasnet had a Fawn then does it?. Like you stated by taking a mature Doe you are eliminating possably 2-3 Doe's from being around the following year much more effective at dropping the doe population if you ask me.

Thats the worst thing I have ever herd makes me sick I'm sure he never had a anterless tag or 3 for that matter either did he. Good thing you lied for your friend seeing as he broke federal law huge on that one might as well be a poacher.
well they are obviously someones pet. A 14 year old kid I know went hunting for the first time last fall with my gang . Shot a doe and 2 fawns the first morning. He said they were only 10 yards away and they wouldnt run!!!
next day this lady and her daughter come over and asked me " did you guys shoot a doe and 2 fawns lately?? they havnt came around the corn pile in the backyard, they are our pets we feed them" LOL I said nooooope we only shot buckshaha
And Deer as pets? Now that's ILLEGAL in many areas... so if my neighbour has them maybe it'd be best to shoot them and save her a big fine.
I am really curious now if it would be legal anywhere in Canada?
Does anyone know of a province/region/wmu where it would be legal?
Keeping/Raising fenced-in Non-domesticated deer? Not that I know of...
I took a guess that it was 'ok' somewhere at least... now I am as curious as you.
