Is the 7,62x39 ELK capable ?

17 HMR for grizzly.
.223 on water buffalo is all too common unfortunatley... lol.
the Govt issue them out .308s an .223s , an teach them to shoot for a certain spot on the beasts head..... i opted for .35 whelen in similiar placement, after bonganly spraying an praying the first one didnt charge me lol.
the most common water buffalo cartridge is a .308 ruger scout combo.
ps- im not necessarily stirring the pot.. if i put sambar, you wouldnt all look past the thread- sambar an elk are on the same page for discussion of cartridges in my book,...ive shot plenty of elk down here?? an moose an caribou an whatever u guys talk about heaps..
im hoping to fullfil the Bear grand slam,, got heaps of gummys, got the Drop an now chasen the Koala subspecies... though its a little more difficult to uh, obtain

much too light. .555 lapua is the law down here for Drop Bear, couldnt imagine the Grizzly being any lighter

Don't think so .......................2 of the 3 hits where complete pass throughs. It never made it 20 ft after the first hit. If anyone wants to donate some cattle to science put 5 out and give me a 5 shot magazine and we'll see how many are standing when I'm done.

Well you can kill a grizzly with a .22 and Bella Twin proved you can.
But would you choose a .22 to go bear hunting? Yeah I don't think so.

But how many times did she have to shoot the thing, and/or how long did it suffer? These are things that ethical hunters consider, regardless whether something is "possible". Hence why you (Or most people) probably wouldn't bring a .22 on a grizzly hunt.
