10/22 photos - post 'em up here!

Went out on a limb with the color combo and I am very happy with how this turned out! This is a standard 10/22 receiver with Dlask bolt, BX-22 trigger, NDS sights, and a 16" bull barrel in a Grey Birch chassis, sporting a walnut facet grip by Rifles Refined. I'm thinking of changing out the barrel to a carbon-wrapped one given that this is a bit front heavy in this configuration...

Love the colors! The stock must be very light, I have a 16.5" Dlask, NDS sights and a small muzzle device. It balances on the action screw in a Hogue stock.

Dlask makes a great carbon barrel, in a few different lengths. .820" ish range. I've had a few and they have all been shooters.

Been working on this build for over a year. Think it's finally finished.

Parts list:

  • Grey Birch Fusion RDR (red dot ready) receiver and 12.5” barrel.
  • Grey Birch bolt with integrated charging handle.
  • SBI Chassis.
  • SBI mag adaptor and ProMag Remington 597 22 round magazine.
  • Kidd Single Stage Trigger.
  • Dlask extended magazine release.
  • Vortex Venom 3MOA Red Dot.
  • Standard A2 buffer tube wrapped in a foam cover I took off a broom handle.
  • Aluminum Butt Plate.
  • Magpul MOE-K grip.
  • USGI sling and QD sling mounts.
Specs:

  • Weight: 5.1lbs with sling, red dot and an empty 10 round mag.
  • Overall length: 30.125”
  • LOP: 13.25”
Cost:

  • Around $2000

Preliminary results are 2.5 MOA groups with CCI SV. The Grey Birch Receiver and the SBI Chassis didn't fit and I ended up dremeling a recess in the stock for the back of the trigger pack to fit properly into the stock. So far the mag adapter doesn't work at all with the GB receiver, it's acting as though the firing pin can't reach the round to set it off. Will continue to experiment.

I’ve got astigmatism and don’t really like the height above bore with a red dot anyway, so the Seeall is handy for short range fun. No batteries or power switch to deal with either.
