Had a pile of 10/22 stuff I hadn't been using so I picked up a cheap old walnut stocked rifle with the alloy trigger group.
Now has a Shaw 10" barrel, Houge stock cut to 12.75" length of pull and i did a trigger job (3.5lbs) and used a Volquartsen trigger blade I had. Optic is a UTG OP3 on a EGW direct mount I no longer use from my Moss 590. Butt pouch is hand carrying a couple double 10 rounders.
Came out to a nice light lil pew pew.

It has been ages since I spent some time looking through this thread. Many pages have been added since I last looked. There are an amazing variety of different configurations of 10/22s. Some really cool and unique 10/22s in the last 1442 posts!

Many of the older posts, mine included, have broken links to pictures. So here are pictures of just some of my past 10/22 builds:

My favourite, possibly the only one I will never sell and the only 10/22 I have been able to successfully complete the 1/2" challenge with:

And a bunch of others:

Damn. I never considered the possibilities of running different setups with the 10/22 takedown. Hmmm. Now the wheels are spinning. Hahaha. I want something nice and light to ring steel with but didn’t want to sacrifice it as I typically use the 10/22’s as gopher getters….I feel like I need a takedown model now with a couple different setups. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Glen. Its all of the best components in my opinion and what Ive had consistent great results with. These are the three 10/22 style guns I presently have. The top one is the Kidd gun with the VQ comp bolt and two stage Kidd trigger in a Victor Titan stock with a Kahles 318i. Its very accurate. The middle is the latest and I just put on a Razor LHT 4.5-22x50 in PMR rings. The bottom rifle is the 17Mach2 in a very highly figured Tiger maple stock with the action being glass bedded. It has an original Ruger receiver but other than magazines the only ruger parts. The barrel is a McGowan match fluted SS barrel donated by Jerry from MYSTIC to a CRPS match. This gun is crazy accurate.View attachment 665900

Starting to play with building up a 10/22. Nothing to write home about but its my humble beginnings. :)
SBI Receiver, DLASK 16.5" Fluted bull barrel, BX Trigger, Magpul stock, Bushnell 4.5-18 40mm scope. Need to find a compensator and a few other things.

Hey Frank1968. Awesome looking build. Really like the RED receiver. Sure looks like a shooter and the Dlask barrels have produced excellent results for me. Kudos. Need something on the threads pal. Do you have a recoil buffer instead of the steel pin? If not Ill give you one, I shoot at the stitsville range quite often so just send me a PM and ill get you one. Makes the gun much quiter and saves pounding on the internals and your receiver. Cheers Chris.

Hey Chris, I'll be trying her out tomorrow at the EOSC in Chenney. I hear you about the threads....put the flash hider that initially came with my 10/22 until I order one this week. Not pretty as it's diameter is smaller than the barrel but at least it will protect the threads. I'll PM you about the buffer...I appreciate that! Cheers, Frank!

DLASK TUFF22 9" TD with BX trigger kit. Vortex SPARCII RD. 25rnd HC3R mag (legal in Canada:))

TD with a receiver-mounted optic? How's that for accuracy/repeatability? What distance and group size are you getting?

I suppose if you have just the one barrel and the joint is rock-solid and repeatable it might be all good. Having two different TD barrels go to the same zero would be interesting!

Haven't shot it yet so can't speak to accuracy but it's going to be my 50yrd plinker so hoping it will do fine with reactive targets.
I considered the barrel scope mount but did not like the way it hangs the optic below the butt stock when broken down. If repeatability suffers I'll get the barrel mount and live with it.....
