Yes by the serial No. 149858 It's a 1952, I believe Husqvarna stopped these in 1953.

There can’t be too many who can make this claim - one owner for 59 years, I bought it new in Eaton’s department store in Halifax in 1963. .270 Win. Model 4000, all steel bottom metal, 20 1/2” barrel fitted with ramp and front sight but no accommodation for a rear sight, drilled and tapped for receiver sight or scope. Monte Carlo stock ( non monte carlo was the 4100, the Model 5000 was less money, 21 inch barrel with sights and aluminum bottom metal, plain wood). I hunted this rifle hard for many years, mainly as my sheep, goat and caribou mountain rifle, backpacking and horse hunting. Always carefully maintained but when the inevitable knocks, bumps and bruises became too hard to bear I had both metal and wood refinished and at the same time had the redundant front sight and ramp removed. About the only BC game not to fall to the old girl is grizzly, now semi retired but it has probably put a boxcar full of game on the ground.

This is a Husqvarna Fn98 model 648, I picked up a month a go.
It Cleaned up fine and it was already Glass bedded and free floated. Just working up some loads for it now.
Great North Guns,
You have a "Lyx" model, and a nice one at that !
What is a Lyx model?
The 1600 and 1640 Lyx (deLuxe) European models have selected french walnut schnabel stock, foerend checkering, cheekrest, checkered butt (wood butt), barrel mounted front sling swivel (1640), jeweled bolts. They, most of the time, have the "Timney-Tradewinds" HVA adjustable trigger and "engraved" magazine door
The early versions have fixed rear sight, older ones have three leaf folding sights, but they may have come with any HVA sights upon request.
I’ve been offered $1000 numerous times for my model 8000 in 308 win.Price check help please.
So I may be able to aquire a Huskavarna imperial crown grade in 308.
It's in nice shape.
Just looking for a rough value any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
