Update On Ontario Restricted Transfer Times

July 21st 59742** approved

Thank you!

Just wanted to let everyone know that providing the transfer initiation date helps increase accuracy especially when I can update the chart and split up some of the large gap dates. Chart had a gap from July 20th to July 25th so I was able to add another day and break the data down further!

When the approval email comes through, does it include the initiation date of the transfer?

I have my pending transfer numbers, but no initiation dates - would I need to contract the retailer for this info?

yes and yes probably unless you can log onto your dealer account and see the invoice. Some have the transfer initiation date included in the sale details

Also for anyone who's received their pistols.
I was told there's something else I need to wait for before bringing it to my range, a letter that takes roughly 2 weeks, what exactly is the letter? And do I need to do anything to receive it?

Your Firearm Registration Certificate will show up in the mail in two weeks or less, you don't need to do anything it's automatic. If you don't receive it in the two weeks following the transfer email then you should contact the CFO.

So you have to wait for that before you can take it to the range?

The CFP in Miramachi sends you the Firearm Registration Certificate for your firearm. Verify everything on the certificate like serial number etc. Once you have this you can take it to the range because you will have the standard ATT.
