Wouldn't consignment be a "private" sale? Not sure myself so correct me if I'm wrong but that would explain why its taking so long as it is a p2p transfer not so much that they called it in vs web

Honestly, not sure (would love to know more). It was still the business calling it in (I didn't have to call the CFP or anything) - I'm not sure if Business to Private, Business (Consignment) to Private and Private to Private are all separately treated.

There have been several P2P transfers through a business on this thread. They were handled as a consignment and in all but one case they were approved at the same time as B2P for that date so no delay.

Congrats. I would consider the 59696XX transfer a Christmas present from the CFO because they are processing P2P transfers from June 29.

Where are we tracking private sales?

I have a spreadsheet that I have been tracking the P2P approvals on. I was only able to go back to early Oct because prior to that most info posted was incomplete. It is not pretty. It basically just shows how many days the P2P approvals are behind the B2P.

Currently the CFO is processing June 29 P2P transfers so approvals are running about 22 days behind B2P. They seem to bounce around as today they processed a July 15 P2P.

If you have a P2P transfer just look up your reference number on Wolf's spreadsheet then add 22 days to the date in column P "End". If you, as the buyer, did not confirm your information to the RCMP on the initiation day then add that number of days as well. That will give you a rough number as when to expect it.

My first ever transfer notification came in today!

Business to Private (NL --> ON), 59749xx, initiated between July 19-22 (uncertain because I didn't receive the number until I asked), transfer notification received on Dec 15
Still waiting on another 59749xx from a different store (funnily enough, it's slightly lower in number than the one just approved)




Interesting - this might explain why the transfer for my first purchase (which was a used item) hasn't come in yet - the shop told me that they have to call in for used/consignment items (instead of being able to use the online portal) (unfortunately don't have a transfer number for that one, only a date range of July 18-22 for when the transfer would've been initiated)
