Post freeze pistol purchase

Hey guys, so I actually got a response back. The SFC is only willing to write letters of support for .22LR Olympic pistols.. I tried to acquire a HK P7 PSP in 9mm and they said no, it has to be a pistol for Olympic use. That's what their legal team is telling them to do, regardless of the wording in the amendment not specifying what firearms are allowed to be purchased.

I already have my Pardini. Efforts to acquire anything other than a .22RF pistol will be denied by the SFC. I am a International Paralympic Committee classified shooter for pistol, shotgun, and rifle. Newly classifed this year at Lonato del Garda International Para Trap Grand Prix.

Well, I for one feel a lot safer now. So long as your shotgun is also the venerable 22 gauge? You, know, the ones used to harvest ptarmigan, bear, and leprechauns?

I know a few people that had years of time to get a RPAL, but they waited till it was too late.
or got it at last minute and paid way too much for something they aren't happy with, or one said a lot of crap, one crap gun is enough

I’m one of those people unfortunately, really I should have gotten my RPAL 3 years ago when we moved into our house but I put it off and got it about a month before they announced the freeze still didn’t start buying till the they announced it, thankfully I got some of the guns I wanted(16 total most still waiting approval) only thing on the list of must haves I didn’t get was a 357 revolver but that’s my fault I suppose

glowie is asking ya'll how to acquire a handgun using a loophole, do give him ideas so he can relay them to thr gungrabber office.

Somebody said get a job at brinks, lol their atc is only attached to their uniform. Man, some gunnutz know less about laws than you think.

minimum wage and all to get shot at...NO Thnx!

It's a cryin' shame. My GP100 4" barrel is one of the funnest guns to shoot that I own.

Is there any loophole or possible way I can still aquire a handgun? I git my RPAL days after the freexe and missed my chance. What option do I still have?

That PAL, and those firearms owners who support it, are a large part of why you cannot but a handgun.

well it is shame and maybe time to get 9mm approved at the olympic comittee ...

I hope you got a revolver at least in any caliber

Yeah i posted that, re read what a wrote, slowly, I suspect your a window licker. The law provides exemptions for atc holder, which if you work in armoured cars you have an atc, yes it’s specific to company firearms while working.

I’m not sure this would work, but, There’s an exemption for atc holders. Get a part time job at brinks or guarda. Buy your want list, quit.

I’m unsure how they cfo are handling the exemptions now, so maybe someone can chime in. Could an “Olympic shooter” buy a Glock? Could a wilderness protection atc holder buy an Olympic target pistol? Could an armed guard (whose gun is owned and supplied by the company) purchase a pistol for recreational use?

All gonna come down to the cfo interpretation.

Now let’s see what’s actually happening…

But, like I suspected in my OP, they’re not saying “you’re exempt”. We now know an Olympic shooter can only acquire an Olympic pistol, and I suspect if you were a trapper/geologist with an atc for wilderness protection, they’d only exempt suitable large revolver (although one guy on here had his 10mm glock approved years ago iirc).

Sorry to hear that you got the RPAL after the freeze. That sucks. Hopefully it is repealed, but unfortunately I don't think Pierre is gonna dethrone JT if there's am election this coming year (another topic for another day).

As a former Brinks employee and ATC holder, I would have also thought that armoured guard employees would not qualify for the current transfer exemption clause however
I had a Garda employee tell me that he has had two fellow employees successfully complete post-freeze approved transfers through the MB CFO.

Has anyone else heard of approved transfers like this?

Join the CAF or become a police officer , optionally move to a more sane country.
Nether allows you to acquire handguns. Just use theirs for work purpose.

CAF you're not guaranteed that you will use a pistol. It doesn't allow you to acquire, or take them home.

Police, some don't allow service pistols to be taken home. My police buddy unable to use his OIC banned guns.
