Christmas Sale GNG Carcano Moschetto

Iam not sure they are moving as fast as they thought they might. Iam on my second drink now. I would like a 7.35 one day, I have a good stash of surplus. Glad iam still sitting on good supply of brass and bullets too.

I think all the m38 carbines and ts rifles that came in went quickly and the moschettos have not. No idea why, they are super handy. My favorite carcano to knock around the bush.

3 rye's was all it took, I hope it's in decent shape, my m38 looks like it tumbled down a mountain side.

I will for sure, says it won't ship until after the new year now.

How many Carcanos in the collection Claven? I can't believe the price of some that were only $150 a few years back. The carcano has always been the black sheep of the milsurp family in my mind, great gun no one wanted. I think it has to do with the Italians riding the coat tails of whoever was winning in their mind.

I've owned a dozen or more over the years, but right now I just have this one.

Well you’ve twisted my arm, as soon as I recover from Christmas I’ll pick one up, I remember my grandfather having one a long time ago but he got rid of it because he lost the clips and couldn’t find any more, I already bought a few clips in anticipation of eventually getting one I’d say don’t tell my wife but she wants an m91/38 lol

Sale ends tonight, just food for thought!

I had a Vetterli Vitali in 6.5 as well an M38 TS that I sold a few years back for double what I paid for them. The value has gone up recently, especially for the TS. Seller’s remorse. :(

This is the one I received 2 weeks ago. Slightly Better shape than the one I bought from Corwin a few years ago. I hope someone takes up casting .268 bullets for sale now that JetBullets has closed up shop; I'm running low and now that I have 2 Carcanos to feed....

Well screw it, I broke down and ordered another one. Will report back on what I get. At this price, I could not afford to pass. Everyone else has them $350+ plus tax and shipping and I think they are getting close to the end of this import.

It was about this time yesterday the dealer posted here that there was only 1 day left, I expect tonight sometime the sale price will end.

I went and ordered one from Marstar. Killer sale, only $249! Fixed and adjustable sights, NRA “ fair” condition. Total cost was $337.47 tax and shipping included. Cheapest I’ve seen in Canada.

Shipping from GNG was $35, Marstar must be more because my total invoice was ~$340.

It depends where you are. In gst provinces, the total cost is a little higher.

Also, for WW2 era guns. Fixed sight is perhaps better. Less fragile handguard and the adjustable sight doesn't matter 7nless you shoot past 300 meters. Unlikely with an iron sight short barrelled carbine.

I kind of wish one of mine were a fixed sight model.

I assume Wet Coast means BC.

I *might* prefer the fixed sight, it'd be interesting to know if the later Carbines retained the gain twist or went to the conventional twist, like supposedly the M41 has (I say this because this is what I read about the M41). Although I'm a bit leary of the Fair condition may be missing minor parts.
