Parker hale 308 are pretty common at the same price point. Considering the quality of european rifles, i can't fathom a reason to choose a similar model by norinco. They should have gone for a light weight 7.62x39 version, as the discontinued cz527 prices are going crazy.

Norinco is exactly known for refinement. And that stock looks like something completely different. I would love to inspect one in person.

These things must have been lying around a warehouse for a while. Who's going to take one for the team?

In a factory in China, a man is stationed at the stockmaking and fitting bench of production of these rifles. He has a quota of twelve of these in an hour. Failure to make quota means no food tonight. Again.

Man's hungry. So he takes the ones that are "Fvck it, good enough" grade and moves 'em to the "OUT" bin. They say someday they'll promote him to an easier job, but right now this is it, and he couldn't give less of a sh!t about the quality he's generating. And it shows.

This is the gun you lend your buddy when he needs to borrow one for hunting season. He's the same buddy who broke your aluminum scoop shovel trying to pry his truck out of a ditch. The same buddy who borrowed your truck to "move some stuff" and brought it back dirty, out of gas, and with a fresh dent in the rear fender. and no explanation of how that happened. The same buddy who got "hailed out without crop insurance" at your last party and peed in the laundry basket.

You lend him this rifle safe in the knowledge he can't make it uglier.

I'll take three, please.

Get rid of that buddy and don’t buy any of these…

I like this post.

Way to long and lanky for what?

Personal opinion is that it is overall to big and lanky for a truck gun.
A truck gun to mean's something compact land light lke a 16" stainless barrel synthetic stock and a detachable magazine for fast loading of 5 rounds.

I'd call this M334 a beater gun

The cost to get a container shipped from China went up 15x since pre-covid, inflation, Chinese gov likely selling a little less due to stocking up for rising war tensions.

Lots of reasons these are *only* $200 more than the .223 ones that were in 10 years ago

Fit and finish can't really be excused, they've been doing this for a few years lol

Container prices have come crashing down from that peak. I paid under $2600 usd (cant recall the exact cost) about 2-3 months ago for a 20 footer, so one cannot use that excuse anymore.

They're saving these for war? Haha

Why would anybody choose to support a communist Chinese company is beyond me

You might want to sit down for this one then (whatever you will be sitting on was most likely imported from China or made from Chinese parts).

Most (if not all) of the components of the device which you used to type this message on was made in China.
So is most of everything electronic inside your home, right down to the insides of your washer, dryer, vacuum cleaner and a toaster.

When you leave your home, that vehicle you get into consists of mostly Chinese parts and there is a good chance that most of the clothing you are wearing has been made there as well.

You are already supporting China from the time you wake up to the time you lay back down on that Chinese made mattress.
