My answer is where did live since last May buying frenzy ? All stores were overwhelmed and most closed door to walk in to handle the surge of sales.
Get out of the closet and get an education. So many uneducated comments here done by guys who know absolutely fxxck all about the reality of situation back then.

It clear that owning firearms does not come with a minimum IQ.

There's plenty of places to buy, but for the most part, they have great service, plenty of stock , fair shipping costs and generally reasonable prices.

That said I logged in and edited my profile that now contains junk info.

Not sure if I can be comfortable buying from them anymore.

Some are more forgiving it seems and are shopping there again

A buying frenzy and being busy does not address the data breach and lack of communication regarding it to customers

Most stores were able to handle it without a sharp decline in customer service. Most stores were able to get transfer numbers out to people by default or if they asked. Most stores didn’t become an unmitigated disaster in the span of 6 months.

Speaking of knowing #$%& all about the situation…….that would be you.

FOC is my local gun shop. I’ve personally experienced the absolute decline of this store. Brutal customer service now……staff that could care less about anyone or anything. Being open, but not answering the door when you hit the buzzer. And if after 20 or so mins, you actually get someone to come to the door, they basically tell you to piss off.

Stay in your lane. You sound like an idiot when you try and speak about a topic you know NOTHING about.

Funny coming from a guy that couldnt see his club has a huge problem with idiots. Have people stop testing the baffles to see if it stopped bullets? But hey you banned the steel core ammo, that will surely stop those idiots.

I put this guy on my ignored list and didn't see his post until I saw your post with his post in quote.
He questioned my IT and finance competency in order to show off his IQ on those fields.
I refrained myself at first, but now please pardon me for letting this out: I have computer science bachelor degree and finance master degree.
don't know if that qualifies for a minimum IQ by his standard.

by the way, I was always wondering why liberal could win so many seats in QC, especially in Montreal area. Now i know why after seeing this guy's posts

I have just spoken to FOC and they have informed me that they have resolved the security breech and have implemented better security measures...has anyone used them lately and can confirm?. I wanted to take advantage of their %10 off sale...thanks!

My card was compromised from a summer purchase and I’ve ordered since the fix. All good now,
 
Went there today. Got buzzed in right away. Like always the guys there are nice and friendly except the bald asian dude that look serious all the time and not friendly lol.

Anyway, I asked them if they are aware about this thread and they said they are and they don’t care and will let people gossip.

I find it hard to believe what some people suggested here that FOC sold people’s private information so I asked them directly. They said that someone hacked their website and injected malicious code that redirected people to a phishing site and thus captured people credit card information. They confirmed that after they discovered this the issue was fixed.

It is not an excuse but cyber attacks have been happening more frequently now days. LCBO, DCDSB, Okanagan College are the most recent ones. Almost all credit cards and banks protect their customers if there is unauthorized charges and they will reimburse legit fraud claims.

Will I be comfortable shopping at FOC in person? Sure. Online? If I can avoid it then I will rather shop in person until dust settles down.

They knew for more than a month (or two) that they were compromised AND DID NOT INFORM ANY CUSTOMERS......!!!!

I have had 2 companies in Europe that I had dealt with (non firearm) over the last bunch of years email me (they bulk emailed all the online customers in their database) that their systems had been compromised and they suggested I cancel any CC that I had used there.

It's not difficult to do and that is what makes me the angriest about FOC. They were told by a CC company they likely had issues and yet they did nothing.

Gossip - F&CK THEM - "they don't care" is the operative statement - they don't care about their customers as long as they get their money.

Nope I agree that they should have done much better in communicating the incident to everyone.
 
I also agree they should of informed customers immediately if that was the case....but again I'm wondering if their system has been fixed and protected since..and if anyone has since ordered with them...looks like I'm gonna place my order

did you happen to ask them why they held the leak/hack event and didn't inform their customers for a month long until it was revealed by someone else?
or you didn't have the balls and were busy kissing their a$$?
