I love when people offer low ball on your ammo and then provide a link to a website, without realizing that stores charge tax and shipping...
and the fact that it's been out of stock for 2 years.
I think also there should be something said about the secondary market like the EE. There are deals to be had - I have met a fair amount of people who sold their old guns and just want to get rid of the ammo and will unload it for a song. Sadly, on a more recent trend, due to the government's shenanigans, there have been people just getting out of hunting, target shooting and even collecting. They will post their ammo cheap just to get rid of it, sometimes at some insane prices.
Occasionally retail deals outside of the whole Black Friday time, do happen. I remember it wasn't that long ago - think it was late 2021 - that FOC had a sale on Winchester 5.56 box of 20...they were selling it for $11.95. I thought it was a misprint. Went there and bought as much as they were able to sell me. Granted those types of sales don't happen everyday but as is the case in many facets in life, persistence pays... It also helps that many on this site generously share deals when they find it so others can take advantage of good prices. Unfortunately ammo prices have risen to such a level so quickly that it's hard to determine what is a "good" price anymore.
On an unrelated note, Princess Auto has 50 cal polymer lockable and waterproof ammo containers for $7.99 (normally $13.99) through Sunday. Those have been fantastic in storing loose or excess ammo.
I just checked prices again today and it looks like G4C continues to have the cheapest prices for PMC Bronze, box of 20 for $14.99 ($0.75/round), or box of 1000 for $700 ($0.70/round/).
Other than that Cabellas is the only other option to get slightly cheaper Winchester 223 during their semi-frequent Wild Wednesday sales where you can get them for $0.66/round.
It's too bad we don't have access to another budget brand comparable to Barnaul (Wolf, Tula??) that could produce steel case for much cheaper than the PMC, Winchester selection we have today.
For low-cost steel-case ammo I've found that MFS is reliable and fairly accurate. Made in Hungary I believe. My LGS was selling .223 62g SP for $8.99/box +tx. I found it was very accurate in my Ruger American Stadard, about as good as Barnaul 62g SP.
Just saw this for .22LR CCI Blazers. 425 rounds in a milk carton bulk box for $37.99 (normally $50).

Barnaul will not get cheaper.
Don't forget Biden's Russian ammo ban.
The Barnaul that ships into Canada goes through the States first. Once the existing permits expire there will be no more Barnaul coming to Canada unless a shipping company creates a route directly to Canada.
I don't see any Fed 'blue box' listed as 325. That's the 'Automatch' which is now also called "Champion training". And all sizes of "Champion Training" is not 'true' SV but 1200+ velocity.
And yes, the 'Automatch' is now selling around $45+ for 325s, where a year or so ago it was on for ca $30 or less.
They only cost $20 4-5 years ago!
