Haven't seen any great prices on bulk ammo yet, lowest prices for .22lLR, .223, 9mm?

Why does it have to go through the US ? they can just ship it directly here . maybe someone who is a distributor with half a brain in this country could contact them directly and inquire about this . and have you noticed that the Federal blue bulk boxes that used to contain what 525 rounds are now only 325 rounds in a box . and they cost more ? why wouldn't they just leave the boxes at 525 and charge a little more ? greed .

I did hear this from a distributor with more than half a brain. Not all overseas freight companies ship ammunition. The ones that do follow certain routes. It's highly unlikely they will change their established routes for 1 container of ammo. We're not that special.

I don't think retailers make much margin on ammunition but I could be wrong. I just wish more powder and primers would get to the market so I can make my own.

Correct, retailers work on roughly a 20% margin give or take, contrary to some people on this forum that think it's closer to 200%

No surprise this sold out this fast. The per box unit price has not been seen this low for years...and for soft points at that! I had to do a double take when I first saw this, thinking it must be a typo...but it is probably the best deal in years on any .223. Hopefully this is indicative and is a harbinger of ammo prices falling across the board going forward.

I have used these in the past and the soft points have always been great, and I have been told by reloaders that the brass is very good for reloading. I have had some issues with certain years of the FMJ PPUs (punctured primers) - not sure if it was the primer or the gun I used at the time, but I have had zero problems with the softpoints of varying years.

They only had 20 cases for sale when i seen it. Never tried ppu .223 sp before but the reviews showed rapid expansion. Grabbed a case to try out as a varmint round. At 58cents / round all in delivered to BC i couldn't pass it up. I browse ammo prices regularly and have scored some great deals as of late. .270 deer season xp for under $1/ round , 40s&w for 26cents/ round and 38 special for 28cents/ round. Hard to want to reload for those prices if your guns shoot the ammo good.

Nice, grabbed 1000 rounds. Those didn't last long.

Looks like I'll be doing some .223 hunting this year.

Let's hope that prices keep dropping, almost at the $0.50 line.

The PPU ammo is loaded very hot and should really put a smack down on prairie dogs. I am considering shooting an antlerless deer at 75 m with one to see how it performs. I could care less about the FBI 12 inch test when hunting. It looked like that round had total energy dump at the 11 inch mark. For prices below lousy ball ammo, I will give it a go.

I just missed the 'sale' last nite. Also was some good 22LR sale, but they're all gone too. Prob just clearing 'old stock', no 'great deals' left, tho lots of 'discounts' there if you're low and needy.

Tenda cancelled my order and gave me a refund today. Said some of the PPU ammo was damaged or something. Anyone else get that email? Trying to see if they will raincheck till they get more. Had a similiar thing happen to a ordrr from Bullseye and they went above and beyond to make the customer happy.

More likely they oversold.

How was "above and beyond" accomplished ? Did they give you some other comparable brand or just money back ?

They gave me more premium ammo than i ordered when they ran out and shipped me the wrong stuff. Also said i could wait if i wanted the specific ammo i ordered when they get more.
