LWRC SABR rifle pics

After reading 17 pages of comments and arguments I went to my fridge and had 2 diet pepsi instead of one.

I will wait even 3 months or may be 6 months for a 12.5" restricted or not , I don't care , if the price is right I will buy one.

have another pepsi, the state dept won't issue permits for SBR's, so no 12.5 for you.

If I understand properly that the state department will not issue an export licence for 12.5".

So I do not understand why everyone is so exited about this rifle.
With 8.5llbs empty for a 12.5" plus bullets plus a nice scope plus a sling plus anythink you want on that rifle,it will be around 11-12lbs plus a price tag$2000-$3000 .Who will carry a non restricted rifle around 12lbs in the field to hunt deer or moose.Just because it is or it looks like a black rifle.

I say let us wait, and see what the canadian version will be , And after that everyone of us will make the right decission.

Any input

I think you just answered your own question.
An unrestricted black rifle chambered in .308 is kinda like the holy grail in Canada.
Personally, I can't wait to get the 20" SABR for coyote hunting.

Not everyone buys a rifle for hunting!

As you can see from the many replies on this thread, there is a great demand for this particular product, and for good reason I might add.
All rifles will lack something, based on your argument above, this rifle is too heavy. To some that's a moot point, for you it isn't. It's all based on personal opinion and preference.
IMHO, this rifle, either in 12.5" or full length, is very exciting. I'm hoping for a ruling in our favour from the RCMP.

a 12lb loaded gun is not bad for a decent sized guy carrying it on a sling. I don't see what people are complaining about.

This has been said a quad-zillion times.
Un-restricted... Won't be able to keep them in stock.
Restricted....Forget it,we already have AR-10s

Un-restricted - I would definitely buy one.

Restricted - I would buy this one first! ... and then the un-restricted version.

For those who already shoot restricted rifles it doesn't really matter if the AR-10 is available or not. This is another option for them in a 7.62x51 rifle. Before 1991 we had the option of FN FAL/L1A1, HK91/G3/CETME, M-14, AR-10, and a few not so common others. Why shouldn't we have the choice of different rifles now?

Think about the $1000 - $8000 that many people already have invested in restricted rifles and there are more than a handful of members on cgn that have multiple restricted platforms.
