There never seem to be any IPSC shotgun matches around here anyway, but I've often wondered what shotgun to get for IPSC in Canada. There are 3-gun matches occasionally.
Anywhere else I'd buy an 11-87 with a 26-inch barrel and a 10+ shot tube with all the doodads on it, but in Canada we can only have 5-shot tubes, so it seems stupid. I thought about perhaps a 22-inch barrel and 5-shot tube but it depends on course design. I keep thinking a customized 870 makes more sense because of the mag tube.
Anyone shot enough IPSC matches in Canada to comment?
Or is the impression I got of IPSC shotgun living in the UK, i.e. running around in the freezing cold with a big heavy gun that hurts when you shoot it the right one and I should just spend all my money on pistols and rifles?
