7th Annual Upper Canada Double Gun Classic

Ahh so many responses that would get an infraction on that one lol

I've been really looking at a 9.3x74r/20ga but I need to sell some guns first

That's a hard combo to find. The Germans loved the 16 Ga more than anything else , if someone wanted to upgrade to 9.3x74 from the common European hunting rounds I don't think they would down size to the 20 Ga .
But , since many of these were custom orders You never know what you find.

If I was able to attend, I could bring the no-name single barreled 12G barn gun I inherited from one of my grandfathers, some of its features include a barrel lump consisting of built up bronze spot welding, a split splinter forend both held together and on the gun by black hockey tape, and splits in the stock likewise reinforced by more vintage black tape. There are a few minor defects that have not been bubba'ed, including what are surely the most rounded off and damaged screws ever seen on a firearm, a missing bead front sight and a half missing black rubber butt plate. I might fear that the old gun, almost certainly made in the black powder era, would be condemned on sight by anyone in authority but it's already been accidentally decommissioned by one of my more lunkheaded cousins, who managed to let the firing pin fall out and be lost forever while he was out hunting rabbits.

I've been looking at custom Italian guns. Originally thought a 12ga but it would likely only be used for grouse or a duck on a pond so a 20ga will do just fine.

Hey guys, if you wish to suggest a category and supply an award, contact the organizers to make your proposal.

The winner will have to post a nice photo next fall with 6 mallards hanging by their necks. I went down to the park to take pics of it in use, but trust me, it's gonna work better if you kill them first.

Now this is what I call audience participation! Thanks so much John for contributing to the Classic in this way. And what a great prize! I already have one so won’t be competing for top spot. Laugh2. Yeah, that’s it…..I already have one.

I just shot some skeet for the first time in a long time at Oshawa Gun Club. I shot a 24 in one of my games. So I’m hoping I can replicate that while throwing out some serious distraction tactics while brybenn is shooting his 410 and hope I bring enough game to have a sliver of chance to take home the prize.

Canvasback mentioned earlier in the thread suggesting I be a range officer. If that is the case, I’ll be sure to catch all of brybenn’s infractions. Maybe I’ll also play moderator and ban him altogether

At least then others would have a chance. Laugh2
