There was a fellow on one of the Queen Charlotte Islands that had a huge supply of NOS No4 Lee Enfield parts

Is he still around or does anyone know where he went???

And lots of people don't care........

Do you have an answer for him?

Bet he doesn't use Suomi, Deutschland or Nippon.

Traded a Destroyer Carbine (for a Hungarian Tokarev with Holster and 2 matching mags) to a fellow on the QCI, last I heard he was using it to shoot raccoons.

There was someone in the Yukon who fit that description, but have never heard of anyone on QCI/HG

Fellow in the Yukon retired due to health reasons. I bought a set from him for my first #4 I rebuilt just before he closed down. I haven’t heard of anyone selling parts out of QCI’s. Guy in the Yukon was basically everything you ever wanted.

I think you may be referring to CGN member Sasquatch807 but, I think he's in Quebec. He had a huge list of N0.1 and No. 4 NOS parts for sale on the EE a while ago. I bought some parts from him. Nice Guy

About ten years ago, I purchased a lot of parts from the fellow on QCI. For some reason all I had written down was his phone number, which is no longer in service.

He was getting long in the tooth back then and wanted to sell everything he had but I didn't have the funds needed. Likely sold them all to Numrich. He was hoping to keep them in Canada.

I will look up Sasquatch 807 thanx.

The gent in the Yukon had a lot of stock parts etc. but it was all British. I don't think he had any LB stuff.

Thanx, it really isn't an issue where the parts are made when rebuilding British made mixmasters.

That being said, the fellow from the Yukon has changed his email address.

Sasquatch 807 isn't answering Personal Messages

So I'm still looking.

What parts are you looking for? I rebuild LE’s so have a few parts.

I have most of the metal parts but I can always find a use for a No4 or No1 stock set.

I do have a few commercial leads but they are offshore

Maybe it's getting to the time when I should just quit bring back some of the better preserved sporters back to milspec condition??? It's mostly a labor of love by the time all of the components are brought together anyway, especially if I have to purchase wood sets these days.

This morning I came across two NOS unopened boxes of No4 front and rear upper hand guards, beech of course but still wrapped in protective brown paper with a light green plastic coating.

I know the feeling. A couple of months ago I found four complete original stock sets, multiple hand guards and bands with swivels. All #4. I am currently try to find three decent actions to use. I have since picked up two barrels. I have all the parts for 3 rifles except actions. I may just go and buy some sporters that can be rebuilt, which would be the easiest route.
Prestigious Hardwoods sells new stock sets. I put one together for a friend. Fitting was required but was minor. A fellow in the UK sells original and reproduction wood and parts. I have one of his reproduction front hinged bands for an OL Long Branch which matches originals well.
I haven’t found anyone in Canada that carries everything. Basically finding pieces from different company’s and local people. Some jems can sometimes be found locally. I found the stock wood while buying a Parker 5C site. Ended up parting with $970. I have more fun hunting for the parts than building the rifles.

The Yukon parts were sourced from wherever he cold find them...a lot from ebay out of the UK. I was selling him some parts in bulk that I had. When he sold out, his parts went to Sasquatch, who sold a fair amount of them here. As to the QCI arts, if it is the parts from about 10 years or so ago, I was part of some of the last purchases from him before the remainder got sold off in one big lot. There were some great bargains to be had...wish I had bought a lot more. Brand new rear LB milled sights were only $25 a piece. I should have bought a hundred. And he had the little springs for the windage knob on the Cno7. Another one that I should have bought them all...

Damn, my hindsight is pretty good.

Marstar has stripped receivers for sale at $45. I picked up some of them last year.

They need to be cleaned up and refinished but they all magnafluxed well and the lug recess aren't worn.

I am always looking to increase my little stash of bits.

Right now I am looking for my little bin of barrel bands and swivels, I'm positive that I have some but I can't seem to find them. I found all the other little bins of parts but not a single barrel band or screw in the pile.

I might have to break down and just buy some more. :(

Be prepared for sticker shock and a lack of sellers. Marstar does have some decent prices on the parts they have in stock, especially No1 nose pieces.

Buying from a store is an expensive way to go. If buying everything at retail price it is cheaper to just go and buy an original. My last #4 cost me $340 with original parts bought locally over the last few years. I just bought another Fazakerly which is going to be under $400 to rebuild. I enough parts for 3 #4’s and a lot of extra pieces. Not sure how many more I want to rebuild after I finish the three. I may switch back to building #1’s. Forearms and nose pieces are needed for them. I have 8 currently waiting for rebuild. One I was looking at this morning and I plan to splice the stock together under the front band.
I have only found one original #1 forearm in probably 10 years of looking so reproduction ones are likely being used. #4 I can find all original wood pieces.

yes I saw the prices at Numerich, but I need some other parts for various other non-enfield projects so I might as well put together a big order and save on shipping.

the current tanker project I'm working on I fabricated all the metal for the nose caps and built a forward barrel band, its a bit ugly but functionable, bubba used a 1919 MG barrel reprofiled it and chambered it in 7.62/308Win so all the parts need to be customized to work.
