Where to buy bulk 22lr for spring 2023?

Not my favourite source, but free shipping over $150 (including ammo): Cabelas has Federal 525 bulk packs for $49, and CCI ChootEm (repackaged 36gr CPHP MiniMag) 300 packs for $40. Today only.

In my experience, Blazer 22 is one of the best bulk pack 22LR options. A bit better quality than the Federal 525, but the Blazer is lubed LRN vs plated HPRN. You won't know if your firearms like it until you try it, no way around that.

This is very true, though I would say there is probably a higher tolerance for .22LR if you have multiple rifles. The same can't necessarily be said for something like 9mm and carbines. I had several carbines that didn't seem to run a particular brand of 9mm well in it.

However, I have found for .22LRs, even for the most stinker of brands and models of ammo, there will be some .22 rifle which will run it, whether it is a semi-auto, a target grade bolt action or worse case scenario, for all the stuff that doesn't seem to run or perform well, there are a bunch of different cheapo bolt actions that can feed the ammo just to plink, without any considerations for accuracy.

What's with Federal selling 325 round packs when they used to be 525 or 550 rounds ? at a higher cost also .

The '325' has always been the Auto-match 40g RNL 1200fps, while the 525 is 36g Cu HP-HV - for a long time too.
The AM is very accurate for 1200fps "HV", but for both I find the FTF sorta a prob.

EDIT 4/02/23 - I just searched Fed site and they 'do' carry a 325 'blue box' in 36g HV-HP (not Cu plated) but it's 'not available'.

One of the vendors in here listed blasers on sale a wee or 2 ago, but I can't find the ad now, anyone else catch it?
I took a screenshot of the site, but it didn't capture the site name.

Anyone happen to recognize it?

Federal Champion (blue box) is $75 for a box of 800 at Cabela's. Two boxes will get you free shipping as well.

This stuff is getting abysmal reviews on the Cabelas website. I've never had a problem with any Federal 22LR ammo, only Winchester. There aren't a ton of reviews mind you, but the ones left are very recent and a bit concerning. Anyone shoot any recent batches of this stuff? Would suck to grab a few boxes only to find out it's crap. Squibs are something I want to avoid at all costs.

I`ve shot tons of this stuff (gopher hunting) out of CZ 457 Varmint & Rem 541S and this has been my experience. 1) Very very few FTFs, too few to even count 2) Chambers/extracts perfectly, no issues 3) Very reasonable accuracy, 1/2" groups x 50 fairly common, odd "flyer" but if you aren`t shooting in some sort of competition who cares. For the price, I love the stuff. Now Winchester that`s another story. Not near as accurate, FTFs probably 1 in 50, will often not extract ( have to carry a cleaning rod), I avoid it like the plague. I look for the Federal Champion 800 bulk packs or the 525 blue box 36 CPHP stuff (find it is excellent also) when it is on sale and stock up. Like I said, for the price there is nothing better and when you shoot 5000 a year I am not interested in the "Quality" ammo some think you need. Just my experience and observations.
