Primers

Well others have stated differently and I've personally used them over thousands of rounds in different cartridges, from 7x57 with hot loads to 30-30Win, 308Winchester, etc. Never had any adverse issues.

Sure, but you must realize that is not proof that they are the same? I have done some tests that showed Winchester WSR and CCI-500 were functionally equivalent and a switch between them made very little difference, but I don't think anyone would argue they are the same.

If it's x-reload, you were right. It does not have rifle primers.

I'm still seeing them on the site as in stock. Federal 210s. They will not show in the primer section, it's under bullets because you have to purchase 100 pack or a 500 pack of Sierra bullets to get the primers. 1.jpg

I'm sitting on 5700 SPP and 6800 LPP. Don't own a gun that uses LPP so I'm going to try some moderate rifle loads with LPP. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with all this stuff because I don't shoot pistol much any more. First, I need to figure out a fair value.......

Sitting here in Salamanca playing around, I see Go Tenda has Ginex Small Pistol primers in stock at 91.99/1000 Cdn. right now. That's the best I've seen in Canadian pricing in a long time. It still needs to come down but it's at least doable.

Can't get much more central mexico than Salamanca. I remember my early days in zihuatanejo back in 69-70's. Well, kind of. lol

Pretty sure that's a new record, by far.

As of right now (1:00 PM Salamanca time, 28 Degrees and partly cloudy with 31C predicted as a high) -- Go Tenda is still listing those primers in stock at 91.99. This is great news. A few weeks ago, Budget had the same primers at 160.00/1000 and sold out. Then Rusty Wood had them at around 130.00/1000. At 91.99/1000 here today at Go Tenda, they are coming back a bit closer to the ballpark. Not there yet, but closer.

As prices come down -- and primers remain in stock -- the gouging ends because it has to end. And the gougers maybe get stuck with product they themselves bought at higher prices. Great. That's business for you. For me, it's a bit of really good news to see the prices falling on my basic consumables.

Yeah…saw that one. He felt bad about it though….he made sure to add the disclaimer: “ Yes, I hate the price of primers too, but it's what it is.”
That sure made me feel better about his pricing.
