The 760/7600 Club

Williams WGRS, that's the one. Good sights, had them on a couple rifles.

My girl wore one for a long time. Then I sent her off to have a Williams FP installed. Maybe I'll take a picture of her and post later. She's not pretty anymore but she's spent the last 18 years dogging and tracking. First rifle I ever bought, only one I've ever used, and she'll be the only one I ever use.

I know there guys on here that have that "one gun" and understand the love affair with that said rifle. Used it so much it's become a extension of ourselves.

Yep.

And the Foolproof sights are excellent. I have them on a couple Winchester levers, and have had them on Savage 99s and other rifles I am sure. But these old eyes need scopes on pretty much everything now, except my waterfowl scattergun. As kamlooky says in his sig line, do not regret growing old. It is a privilege denied to many. But getting older is not for the faint of heart!

Another 760 in 30-06 showed up this week. Got the bbl off it yesterday. Will get 2" off that and have the receiver drilled for a Williams FP as well as replace the missing O-ring.

This one I'm keeping.

This one I'm keeping.

"Your cheque is in the mail."

"I'm from the government and I'm here to help you."

:p:p:p:p

Good luck with that, my friend! Or as one gunaholic to another, I know I can stop buying and selling guns, any time I want! ;)

What about the Williams WGRS-742 receiver peep sight? Have you or anyone else tried that sight? Doesn’t require the receiver to be drilled and tapped on the side as it just using the existing top holes (if yours has the factory holes).

"My name is Paul. I haven't bought a gun in two weeks. I can't do this on my own. I need help." :)

I'm in, just got a 7600 and put a Williams receiver sight on. It will be taking a trip to the LGS to be cut down to 20 inches. Ever since I saw pics of SuperCubs 7600 with a 20 onch barrel and williams sight that's what I have wanted.

Go 18.5” and turn it into a 7600 carbine. You won’t regret it…

Thanks mike t for the endorsement. :)

This is indeed an all steel Lyman sight that I have for sale. I did not know that Lyman offered receiver sights that were not all steel.

The new ones are aluminum.

That's a good deal for yours. I would have bought it but already have an FP which is being fitted to a 760 right now.
