What is your most recent hunting rig purchase.

Congrats apu; nice bear and gun. Would be cool to hear more about it as you use it.

So far; is the juice worth the squeeze?

Most recent hunting rig? Huglu SxS blne double triggers straight grip 26 inch barrel. Would love a real English boxlock but the

Need to find somewhere to shoot some sporting clays. Hopefully it will see lots of ducks and geese this fall

Since I got my 303 at an appreciable discount and I am really appreciating the caliber more than I imagined I would I am going to say yes. That said if one was going to pay full retail I would say its a fine gun but unless you really need a hunting semi auto save your pennies for something else.

Nice .35 Rem, never tried one, always liked the look of the cartridge. Got the .257 Roberts 1A to the bush today for some irons fun, she’s a sweetheart and managed to hit a shoebox far further than it had any business doing with irons.

That is so nice!

Just seems like a cartridge really suited to great shooting in a No 1 as well. Congrats. Jealous!

I was extremely fortunate to pick up a Tang safety Ruger M77 in .270 and a Pre-War Model 70 in .375 with period correct Lyman Sight, unfortunately missing the correct Paul Jaeger mount.

Both need a bit of love and will be out this fall.

I also picked up a Brno 602 in .375 Weatherby I’ve been shooting .375 H&H in, I have plans to take it bear hunting, if the bears and work cooperate.

Picked up another Rem 700 LSS 300 Win Mag. #9 I think.

And another 25-06 Tikka last week, already forgot about it.

Well sh!t. Just bought another 270 WSM. Getting to be a gun a week thang.

Finally made it out to Profit River Firearms the other day.
Spent a pile of money there over the years, but have never been to the store.
Found a very nice original marlin guide gun in 45-70 with a ported barrel and a set of xs sights installed
Came with dies, brass, partitions and a nice leather butstock cartridge holder.
Grabbed a wild west gunworks happy lever kit, and some 300gr nosler ballistic tips.
Got her home, installed the parts, loaded some rounds up and to my surprise she shoots very good.
I have owned 3-4 JM 45-70’s in the past and not one was this nice, and none of the previous rifles shot very well.
I needed a saddle gun, and this one fits the bill very well.
And was priced fantastically($1650)
Once again PRF have stripped some cash put of my wallet

The LSS is a beautiful rifle. Proper weight with a nice fitting stock. I hope you enjoy it.

Just picked up a 7mm-08 in a model 70.
It’s the first time I’ve owned a 7/08 but I think I’m going to like it.
I topped it with a Leupold 1.5x4 Freedom in Leupold rings and bases.
It should make a real quick pointing whitetail rig.

Not sure how to embed youtube shorts, but latest pick up is a Sako S20 300 win mag with a Cadex brake and Vortex Razor 3-15x42.

Just picked up this Browning X-Bolt Speed SR Ovix chambered in 223. The 18” barrel handles real nice. I mounted a FX-II 4x33 Leupold on it, and the entire setup weighs exactly 7lbs-0oz. It’s my light, handy walking around rifle.

I decided to put together a new one for the bear operation this spring... converting an M77 Mark II Stainless 7 RM into a .450 Marlin with a 20" Bartlein barrel in a B&C stock... aiming for 2100 fps with 350 Speer Hot-Cor's... perfect bear medicine.

Mission accomplished... except went with a Bob Jury barrel.

Browning xbolt SS stalker 7 mm RM topped off with a Zeiss v4 .

Just did the first round of load development.
