You're lucky, magazine fed Brownings chambered for the 22 Hornet are rare. I've only seen "one" micro hunter and it wasn't for sale.
I have seen several "low wall types though.

22 Hornets are notorius for splitting case necks, that's why the 22K Hornet was developed.
Because of the long tapered case and lack of a decent shoulder the brass gets to flow etc.
I have reloaded some cases a half dozen times, without re annealing, but that's about as far as I'm willing to push it.
I’d be inclined to agree that I am. As that is exactly what I have. It’s the only one I’ve seen for sale as well and I purchased post haste. It even came with three magazines. I’ve been scouring for more and yet to encounter another.

Nowadays one is pretty well limited to what one has and/or can get !
In the Hornet Barrels i use, Primers CCI 400, Bullets are currently a 52 Grain Spitzer and Powder getting pushed by 10.3 Grain of Winchester 680, works for me.

Lots of good info here. I finished the last of my 680 win, and AA 1680. Both good powder. My loads in a Ruger #1 is with lil gun and 35-40 gr bullets. I can set them long as no mag. Lil gun flows well and performs very well. 12&1/2 to 13 gr in both guns.
40+ grain bullets are still relatively easy to find, 35s not so much. I found one box at the kamloops show.
My Ruger 77R 22 Hornet has a 1-14 twist rate and shoots the flat base 35-40 grain bullets best, with the 35s being on top. 45s are ok
As do I but I prefer the 35 grain bullets because I can get more Lil Gun into the case and the OAL will allow the cartridge to fit into the mag.
The rifle shoots 35 grain, flat base bullets best.
A CGNer that likes to read but doesn't post and lives just down the road from me dropped off two boxes of Hornady 35grn V Max.
When I asked him what he wanted for them, he just said a handshake and a thankyou was more than enough and he was glad he could finally return a favor.

I used this combo minus the winchester HP bullets. I did use some factory loaded winchester that performed good.
I found good results with the Nosler Varmageddon 40gr bullets 12.5 gr Lil gun and CCI 400 primers. The Vmax 45gr bullets were keyholing in my slower twist BRNO barrel.
The hornet is what I learned to reaload with, so much fun to reload and shoot! You can hear the bullets slap the paper at 100 yards and see the impact in the scope.
I've never shot a 22 Hornet with a faster twist rate than 1-14. I did shoot a 218Bee with a 1-8 twist rate that was built on a Martini Cadet action and it shot bullets right up to 62 grain very well.
I believe your experience is pretty similar with slow twist rates to mine and most other 22 Hornet shooters.
I've been tempted to rebarrel my Ruger 77R with a tighter twist barrel, but just can't justify the cost and effort at this point in my life. Thirty years ago and it would have been done in a heartbeat.
I do have a "small" Martini action with decent wood and stock that is begging to become a 218Bee. If a tight twist barrel shows up, it's going to happen as I found a 218Bee reamer. So many projects and to little time.
Just looking at my notes, I’ve had good luck with Calhoon 37 gr bullets. I plan to empty 5-600 or them soon in the gopher patch. Dog town bullets will also get a workout. 40 gr and less are my go to but have shot lots of 45s as well. These are not hot rod rounds but great fun. If you need more power then you can move up in cartridge but the hornet �� will stay with me as long as I can shoot.
Yup, like it's upgraded cousin, the 22K Hornet, it's right on the cusp of becoming something better and not so fussy.
The thing to remember is what the cartridge was designed to do at the time it became ''someone's dream cartridge"
With so many hotter and more efficient, less fussy 22 caliber cartridges coming after, you really have to be the type of shooter that wants "something different".
I use my rifle for bunnies/very odd coyote exclusively for the areas I hunt. A 223Rem or 222Rem would work just as well and better at longer ranges as would the 22-250 etc etc.
There's just something about this classic little cartridge that makes it fun to shoot as well as very useful for small game/varmint hunting.
It's got more zip than the 22rfm and it's reloadable, which brings the price down to less than half of the cost of the 22rfm.
With powders such as 1680/680/H110 and Lil Gun it's impressive way beyond its original parameters
Well, had a range day about a week ago and boy it was fun and rewarding too.
Thanks to some words of encouragement and tips via messaging things came together .
Bought a RCBS Partner Press after having asked Loogy Lake guy to p/u some brass and dies from the Kamloops gun show in April ??
The dies proved to be troublesome for me as the de-capping pin would slip trying to press out the primers in the Sellior Bellot brass I picked up from another member here locally.
The Winchester Virgin brass will be used soon , thanks Luke.
Found some 40grn boolits in Merritt and CamPro primers from a site sponsor on Fraser street, thanks Shane.
Lil'Gun came as a recommendation (10grn) via pm thanks Gerald.
Ended up buying RCBS dies and had no issues aside from not seating the long bullets to a 1.870 loa ish and could only load single shot .
At the range with only having bore sighted then gun the Factory Hornady were right on the paper and after a couple of adjustments the Brno FoxII in 22hornet was singing a pretty tune at 50 yrds 5 rounds 1.25 inch +/-
Went to shoot the 100yrds and same thing.
Stretched to 120 yrds and minute of rock on the back stop and they all fell to the mighty 22 Hornet.
I have no idea as to velocity, but suffice to say I was pretty stoked with the end results...aside from my mistake on the loa and this was taken care of when we got home from the range trip.
Seated them to the 1.723 and they cleared the magazine and have 6 or 8 for the next range trip.

Rob, if you add another grain of Lil Gun powder to your 10.0 grain load, your groups should tighten up to about half of what you're getting now.
My Ruger 77R really likes the compressed load of 12.5 Lil Gun
Lil Gun is originally a powder used for 410 shot shells and likes a bit of compression for consistent results.
This is the winner!! Lil'Gun is hard to beat in the Hornet, or the K-Hornet. EE.
