Thanks for posting this, I had never seen that before, I was only aware of the shadow nonsense. Had some time to check it out today, it was mission control. Turns out there was a remote controlled TV camera mounted to the rover on the later missions. 15-17 I think, if I'm remembering correctly. The earlier missions only had a TV camera that had to be plugged in to the LM. So they had access to a camera on the moon after the lander left, for as long as the battery held out.

Never ending nightmare you say… you need to travel. And I mean equatorially, and dig in.
You live in one of the best places in the world you could have lucked out into. Blows my mind how many men in the meat of their lives can’t see how fortunate we are in this part of the world. Doesn’t mean don’t seek improvement, but if you feel you’re living in a never ending nightmare, your concerns are internal rather than external.
This is a damn good place to live and we’re one unbelievably fortunate group as men in one of the wealthiest, least populated countries in the world. And every time I spent a month in the bush, I came out forgetting all the #### guys like this fret over daily even exists.
Just live. Enjoy it, there’s one shot at this life.

This, I love when people say be grateful and you're so fortunate, yet as Kanada gets sh*ttier every year on every level, you're supposed to just be grateful lol, I try to inform people at work about what's going on at least so they're informed.

For all the opposing opinions in this thread , I will call it a success. It's still being seen and read and this topic is very important regardless of what those of you may believe about the climate.

I'll leave this thread with one last input. There is a reason why a large portion of the firearms communities refer to hunters as FUDDS. It is because the hunters don't seem to want to have these conversations about land use and firearms banning. Quite content to sit back and let others be the voices.... and then insult and ridicule those who are speaking out. If you get your news and facts form the first page on your search engine or from some lauded scientific paper paid for by those who are manipulating truths to suit thier agendas of control..... then you are sadly just part of the larger problem.
man can not stop climate change..... to believe this is absolute lunacy. We can stop poisoning our planet with our effluent, be it garbage or sewage or chemical wastes , industrial processes and how about cleaning up the oceans and beaches of garbage and plastics , disposed of by humans or washed out to sea by natural tsunamis..... There are so many ways we can work to heal the earth but we will never stop climate change.
well meaning member sent me a recent paper on man driven climate change and while it started out talking about the climate impacts of the Hunga Tonga, the last 3rd of the article was the key...... disregarding the science for the belief that man driven climate change is out greatest concern and we need to collectively work to STOP CLIMATE CHANGE...... Huh? How in the hell are Humans going to "stop" climate change.
When one of these pontificators of the MSM science can show me real hard data that proves man can "STOP CLIMATE CHANGE" ..... I will listen with both ears. Until then, I'll stick with what I believe.
On the topic of 30x30...... the next election will tell all and if the trudeau/ singh coalition are not removed from government in the next election.... a few folks here are in for a wake up call.

There can be a lot of stupid on the road to smart - and sometimes, the stupid path is the quickest and best way to get to smart. Stupid me doubts the truth, and smarter me has to go back and fix the damage - readier and with patience to listen next time.
Let's imagine this - a man marries a woman and she....receives him a few times, then gets disinterested - has other ideas about the right of a man to his wife - and not only this, but she is not very apt to listen when he speaks - texting or the TV or other conversations take precedence - and the kids and house and vehicles etc. must all meet her approval - and she only regards his opinion if it is - she thinks - to her advantage. What is wrong with this picture? - because whatever is wrong with this picture is what is wrong with our attitude towards the truth.
We are the woman - ignoring the truth which can give us legitimacy - and by demanding rights, we have lost our place as subservient to truth. Unless the truth can be used to our - we think - advantage, we ignore it and talk to our friends rather than listening carefully and respectfully as it speaks quietly with us. We are more interested in opinions of many fools, than one truth that might humble our pride just a little. Imagine if instead of mocking disagreeable words or lessons, we listened respectfully and asked questions - and thanked the Creator of Good things for todays lessons in humility.
So what happens at the far end of this foolish attitude that we are showing now? What would you do with your woman if she treated you and your relationship with the sort of distain that we treat the truth with? - this will not continue - there will be a reckoning - when we will be shown what is at the end of this road. You might have met someone who went down that road, and they were already on the way back, with the intention of never going down that road again - and if you met them, you may be also heading towards smarter and humbler - just like them. Consider the remorse of those poor self-deceiving people who convinced themselves, or were convinced that cutting off body parts was a good path to go down - they had all the support of their "friends" - and yet there they are - regretting the accepted lies - not one truth among the lot of them.
When we look at something, we always attempt to deduce what made it the way it is - why it is - as though we are worthy to decide why something exists. It was a very complicated process by which we came into existence, going back an unknowable number of generations to - "scientists admit" , a single pair of humans. The bible goes back even further, and tells that the woman of those two came from a man - who came out of the intent of a Creator. If you are feeling huffy about being told anything - especially out of the bible, you might remember that the biggest fool is not one who tells a lie, but the one that will not listen for a truth. One deduced line of thought is that a first cause began to, out of chaos or a vacuum, generate order, without an intent - so that the order which is seen in everything is only accidental. The order in what we see suggests that there is an intent to create order - and the scriptures from ancient times would agree - that there is a cause - a reason for the way things are, in the future - like a planned end or a conclusive conclusion of all of this. For us to accept this would require that we unlearn the things that we have concluded thus far - but how difficult will this be to admit our error - after witnessing what is going on around us? We messed up - big time - now what is the truth?
I cannot go back and fix the damage - so all I might have is the humility of owning my errors - is there not a little glimmer of truth in that confession? Truth is good - honesty is good too. Maybe if the truth is merciful, I can begin to listen to it as it begins to talk to me? - no matter where I have been? Where does it - Truth - come from? That sounds a lot like the question of where Adam came from - or Eve after him - or a certain infant born of a virgin - where did he or will he come from?
In the West, we think that we can get together and decide what is truth - and we are not doing well at that. Communism is a wonderful example of a single dictator given the opportunity to be like God - without the burden of caring - and yes, we can decide to appoint a dictator, but we then have no ability to remove it after we learn the truth is different than what we imagined and affirmed. Things - and our trust of them, are coming apart - and soon, we may realize that our own opinion is no better - we need a common law for all - a Truth to be our husband. We need to be taken captive by a love for what is Right - to understand that we have a right to listen, not a right to speak against the truth. We need to love and be loved in this great creation of which we are a part.
We are not the Man - Truth is.
