Tikka T3 Bolt problems

Don't matter a whole bunch how the rifle looks, its how it performs. I too love the look of a nice wood stock, but they tend to get beat up when hunting them. If I could have a safe/range queen, I would get something with a great wood stock, but for out in the bush where it counts, I'll take my T3 any day.

Bringing this back from the dead ... I broke the plastic shroud on my T3 today. Don't know if it had anything to do with a pierced primer - I don't really see a connection. The bolt was tight, lifted it up & split off a thin strip of the plastic that locks it onto the bolt. Looks fine from the outside, but it just slides off now.

I somehow cracked the bolt shroud on my T-3 when I first got it. If you call Stoeger Canada, the Canadian distributor, they will send you a new shroud. Their # is (905) 436-9077.

what did i do now?

out of the 6-7 Rugers i own, one arrives with a microscopic blemish thats nothing, LOL.

I recall a post in the last couple of weeks you discussing extraction/ejection problems with your ruger :D

Anyways the shroud is nothing more than a dust/dirt cover, which other manufactures don't include anyways.

notin wrong with a peice of plastic.....ive got the m658 took it to the range at -25 shot a box of shells, curious how it would do in the cold and NO problems!

McDonalds sells more hamburgers than anyone else in the world.

Sales do not = Quality.;)

Yes. I should buy a new rifle, lets say a 700, and then bed it and fix or buy a new trigger for it to shoot as good as my Tikka.

Doesn't make sense. I'd take a Tikka over a 700 ANY DAY, unless we get into the higher end ones. And even then, i'd be better off with a Sako.
