When pistols return? Optimistic
Highly optimistic. As long as the Turd is in power, not a chance. The damage he has done and will continue to do will be hard to undo. I sure like your enthusiasm though.
Sales were never banned. The only thing that was changed was the transfer of registration between individuals who were not part of an approved group. A change can be as subtle as expanding the approved group to let’s say club members, or expanding the competitive class beyond Olympic, without changing the result of the regulation.
I'm a bit of a pessimist on this particular issue, in that I don't think it will happen. But I've been wrong before and would be incredibly happy to be wrong again, especially about this.
I regret not getting a Glock 17. I have a 19, and am really glad I have it. But a full size frame would fit my mitts better.
I also should have bought that Ruger Mk IV I was eyeing for months on end. Now I'm stuck without a 22LR pistol in my life. Not my smartest decision.
Those are the 2 I would buy first. Then I'd start thinking about a wheel gun in 357.
If pistols are back, with the high demands , the price will be X3 minimum
Proably right as there would be a reluctance of dealers to import in numbers in case of another ban along with a lot of demand from those who did not realize that Oct 21/22 was their last chance to get a legal handgun. That would lead to a huge demand and prices that may be beyond what people are will ing to shell out for something that may be prohibited by the next 4 year wonders. If pistols are back, with the high demands , the price will be X3 minimum
I have a feeling that the market would flood with a lot of panic buys being dumped by people who bought too many.

What we really need is some sort of rights enshrined in our constitution but that is extremely unlikely given todays politics. Another world war with the enemy at our gates may be a catalyst to enshrine self protection rights, but who really wants that?
I know I'd "dump" the ones surplus to my needs. Don't want to take another chance of being the proud owner of very expensive paper weights.
