When pistols return: your first buy?

I would add the following:
P365xl
Glock 40 or a M&P 10mm
3rd gen 9mm Smith
A 2011
M66 or M19
SS MR920 elite

I probably would not sell anything. Maybe the PSA dagger.

Trough the past years, I have had a few Sig P-210 ( Swiss ) and sold them all. Almost got one before the ban but did not. If we could buy again, I would be looking for one.

Highly optimistic. As long as the Turd is in power, not a chance. The damage he has done and will continue to do will be hard to undo. I sure like your enthusiasm though.

Yeah... and no gov't of ANY stripe is going to reinstate the the sale of handguns. It'll would be spun so badly against them it wouldn't be worth it to please such a statistically insignificant group.
'Painful reality is... Handguns are going away.
The legal ones anyway.

Sales were never banned. The only thing that was changed was the transfer of registration between individuals who were not part of an approved group. A change can be as subtle as expanding the approved group to let’s say club members, or expanding the competitive class beyond Olympic, without changing the result of the regulation.

That would be the best case scenario imo..

I'm a bit of a pessimist on this particular issue, in that I don't think it will happen. But I've been wrong before and would be incredibly happy to be wrong again, especially about this.

I regret not getting a Glock 17. I have a 19, and am really glad I have it. But a full size frame would fit my mitts better.

I also should have bought that Ruger Mk IV I was eyeing for months on end. Now I'm stuck without a 22LR pistol in my life. Not my smartest decision.

Those are the 2 I would buy first. Then I'd start thinking about a wheel gun in 357.

I got 'lucky' and was able to get both a G17 and a G44 right at the wire. We're on the same page with a .357 revolver though.

If pistols are back, with the high demands , the price will be X3 minimum
Proably right as there would be a reluctance of dealers to import in numbers in case of another ban along with a lot of demand from those who did not realize that Oct 21/22 was their last chance to get a legal handgun. That would lead to a huge demand and prices that may be beyond what people are will ing to shell out for something that may be prohibited by the next 4 year wonders.

What we really need is some sort of rights enshrined in our constitution but that is extremely unlikely given todays politics. Another world war with the enemy at our gates may be a catalyst to enshrine self protection rights, but who really wants that?

I know I'd "dump" the ones surplus to my needs. Don't want to take another chance of being the proud owner of very expensive paper weights.

While I tend to agree that inporters would be hesitant to bring in more hand guns, I think there are a LOT of pistols that were bought in a panic and a lot of folks over extended them selves. Additionally, people were buying what ever they could get their hands on and not really buying guns that they would normally buy. I bet there are a lot of people that bought Glocks, M&P's Girsans etc. that are not really in love with them. I would also think that the amount of new RPal holders post freeze is much lower.

I share your thoughts on this but I got rid of all my restricted years ago and I hope you and I are wrong.
