I’ve got an 11” converted to NR on the way, and I’m going to put the 15.8” Handguard on. It’s aesthetically the best looking configuration for the NR Bren 2s. I’ll just have to modify it a bit so I can access the gas regulator for adjustment. Seems like the best solution if running them NR.

That’s not going to fit my dude the 15” handguard is for the longer gas system on the 16” carbine not the 11”

Yes I understand. As I said in my comment, I will need to do modify it so I can access the shorter gas system.

It will fit. It just won’t allow you access to the gas system. That is easily fixed in an afternoon with some basic tools.

Correct. An extra 2inches would go a long way… as many of us well know.
 
Before you modify the handguard, I think it would be worth looking at making an extension that extends the gas block. It looks like it wouldn't be too difficult to make an extension that would bolt on to the existing one, extending it to where you need. Just an idea.
 
How long would it take to remove the handguard to manually adjust the gas block. Without the surpressor option in Canada, and the Bren going thousands of rounds without a stoppage in real world battle reports, I am wondering if it would even be a necessary upgrade to be able to access the gas system in civilian life/usage.

Looks like a long screwdriver could be modified to turn the gas reg from the front. Would take 5 min tops with a dremel.

Someone plz talk me out of buying an 11”
 
Would Marstar be able to order some of the 15.8" handguards for the 16" conversions if there was enough interest? I think they had mentioned they had an agreement to bring Bren accessories, but that may have been a one time thing.

The action in these brens is smooth! Couple hundred in and this has easily become a favorite. No knuckle busting with the oem charging handle and a red dot mounted over the ejection port. Did however install the HBI extended after taking it out. Looking forward to the 15.8 handguard (on a 16") and the HBI trigger.

To answer my own question from earlier.. bren > apc223 ��

Spoke with them and their reply was “Sorry we only carry the 13.8. No plan to bring in this one”

RDSC and Azt3ch both carry the 15.8. Azt3ch will be a while for import, RDSC said 6-8 weeks for them to get them back in stock.
