Sounds like he wants to go Davey. You should oblige him.

Did you ever meet PH that was using a Post 64 Winchester M70? Meaning a push feed action.
I personally knew two. One was Ian Gibson, who I hunted with, and the second was Andrew Dawson, the owner of Chifuti Safaris. Andrew used a Push Feed Model 70 until he traded up to a double and gifted the M70 to an apprentice PH who was working for him as a camp manager. Ian used the 458 until he was killed by an elephant. And before you suggest that his death was a result of the rifle, it wasn't. Just extremely bad luck with an elephant bull that he was trying to get a good look at for a footsore client who was running out of miles. If that fat #### had showed up for his hunt in half-decent shape, my old friend would likely still be around.
Is it surprising to you that a push feed rifle is used by some dangerous game professionals? And hunters??
Guns, of course, are very personal, but I agree that the type matters little in the hands of a good hunter.
Reliability of boots, trucks, weather, finances often determine how much a gun gets used as you say. But it’s fun playing with them and at the end of the day that’s all that really matters to me. A blend of art and function. Can’t say that about rain gear.
9mm can hardly kill a rabbit ! Useless cartridge ! JMO RJ
It would appear like he has started posting on cgn again. Alberta Outdoorsman was fun while it lasted.![]()
What happened at AO doesn’t matter here, but if you want to keep stirring the pot, you’ll soon find out what will happen.
Of course not.
While you were gone I’ve been posting and buying/selling without hiccup. If you’re going to keep deleting my posts and infracting me then it is inevitable. No need for the threats.
Here is another guy that hunted extensively with one rifle and cartridge.
